I highly recommend Ashlar Landscaping. Daimon had great suggestions helping us improve upon our original plan. Ashlar's pricing was competitive, the work was excellent and the team kept the work area clean.

This is a professional company that started the job on time and finished on time. The crew was courteous and pleasant to work with and responded to our needs with creative design solutions. The price and quality were both good.

We needed to have some work done on our pathway and front wall when a neighbour mistakenly drove through it.

This was not a huge job, but we wanted to make sure it was done right, so we took to Homestars to find some reputable companies to provide an estimate. A number of companies stated 'minimum' amounts before they would be willing to come out.
Ashlar Landscapes was the exception.

Daimon was extremely professional and knowledgeable when he came out to provide an estimate. In fact, he was the only one to offer suggestions on how the rebuild could be improved - within the same budget.
This professionalism continued on throughout the job, which was started and completed on time as promised.

We received a number of quotes. Ashlar's was not the cheapest, but it was not the most expensive either. We made the right decision and would highly recommend Ashlar Landscapes.

We needed to update and make changes to our front yard and walkway. After consuiting with multiple landscapers, we chose Daimon based on Homestars reviews and the comfort level we had when we met. His quote was also very competitive. We weren't completely sure what we wanted, but Daimon was very patient and helpful in working through our ideas and making appropriate cost-effective recommendations. Quality products, installation, and service, coupled with Daimon's willingness to make changes mid-job, made the result exceptional. I'm usually the type of person, regardless of past dealigns, to competitively bid and evaluate every job. But, for our future landscaping needs, we'll be calling Daimon first.

Daimon, we thank you for your patience with us, in trying to coordinate a separate paving company to do our driveway, and keeping you on hold to install the pavers. You were understanding and accommodating with your schedule. Our driveway was completed just before the first snow fall. Thank you for your willingness to work with us to ensure the work got done. We were close to hiring another contractor and I searched the Internet for some reviews because I was unsure. Their reviews caused me more concerns and I ended up calling some of the other contractors with good reviews listed on homestar. We spoke to Daimon and he was the most knowledgable about the problem we wanted to fix. He was the only one that recommended a solution that would truly solve the problem AND look good. His quote was detailed and professional so you could clearly understand what you were getting. He did the work on time and on budget and of very high quality. He and his crew were extremely professional and kept the worksite cleaner than any other contractor we've worked with. It was obvious that he respected our property and wanted to leave it better than he found it. We are extremely happy with the results and would not hesitate to use him again. His solution fixed our problem and fits in perfectly with the existing interlock.

Having read the positive reviews for Ashlar, I decided to give them a call. Upon meeting Daimon and discussing our ideas with him we felt comfortable and confident that he would be able to deliver and we weren't disappointed. The work was top notch and the crew, especially James and John, were a pleasure to deal with. After having gone through a long and painful reno, it was a refreshing change to deal with someone like Daimon. He is honest, fair and truly cares about doing the job right. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

The level of service provided by Ashlar was outstanding!
Always on time, always courteous, genuinely interested and incredibly fair! They were the final step after waterproofing/masonry and tree removal work had been completed. They blew the other trades out of the water in quality of workmanship and customer service. We'll have them back next year for the front yard!

Our small front yard was in need of a makeover. The job itself was relatively small (two days work) but Damon generously worked us into his busy schedule. When Damon arrived for the quote, he provided several good ideas as to how we could maximize the space and give the front some curb appeal at a very competitive price.
To better contain the soil bed above the tree, they built a small retaining wall complete with a decorative corner stone for effect. And because the tree had shallow roots, it had to be handled carefully. With the added soil depth now contained within the walls, we are now able to add plants which previously wouldn’t grow. They poured a new concrete pedestal and moved the lamppost to a more ideal location. Previously it blocked view of our brand new front door. They repositioned our existing boxwoods under the front window and planted more along the border of the property. New soil and sod was laid next to the tree and on our front patch. They removed the unproductive old soil and clay, and the new extra layer of topsoil will ensure our lawn thrives come spring. Decorative grasses were planted on the front patch to hide the unsightly green hydro box.
The crew arrived on time, worked diligently and never left a mess. They were also careful not to damage our newish driveway and steps. All of our neighbours were impressed with the results and tell us that it’s basically a whole new front yard. We couldn’t be happier. The front yard now looks as good as our new driveway, steps, front door and garage door!

It was a pleasure dealing with Daimon and his hard working crew, as this is one of the few companies that we felt actually care about workmanship. From our initial meeting to the follow up after job completion, we had many questions about the project but Daimon was prompt and very patient with addressing our concerns. We are very happy with the way the landscaping project turned out, and throughout the process we were provided with many suggestions to balance aesthetics and budget. There were instances when we were actually steered away from more expensive options that in retrospect helped keep costs in check. We would definitely recommend Ashlar to family / friends and would not hesitate to call them back for or any future landscaping projects.
