Mennonite Moving No Longer In Business

This company was great....AT THE BEGINNING. They moved everything with ease and carefully fit everything into their truck for an easy removal job at the other house. Everything was going well until the boss double checked his address book to where we were going. He knew we were going to North Vancouver because when we spoke over the phone he mentioned we would be neighbors as they are located near our new house. He then proceeded to make a huge fuss how he thought we were going to Gaglardi way in Coquitlam. and then wanted to up price us by almost $2000.The two boys that work for him had obviously been in this situation before because they very quietly mouthed "I'm sorry" to me and got into the truck to wait out the blow up that was about to begin.
The boss then entered our old house fuming screaming at my poor mother who had no idea what was going on at this point and was almost reaching into her pocket to take whatever cash she had. My father and I seeing this obviously got upset and we raised our voices at him and told him he had better take all of our things that were in his truck to our new house, in the same condition they were in when they got to our house earlier that morning. He was fuming and yelled all the way to his truck, any and every obscenity in front of all of our kids about how 'crappy' people we were. We agreed on that he was going straight away to our new house.
He did NOT arrive for 3 hours. He had gone to the courts to file a police report that we harassed him and assaulted him.

The fact of the matter is this company is not one I would suggest to anyone I did not even like. He humiliated us in front of our old and new neighbors, taught our children some obscene words,left us hanging waiting for all of our stuff for hours and ended up ruining some of our furniture in his fit of rage.
As it turns out, he has tried to do this to almost everyone he moves to squeeze more money out of hardworking people to put more $$$ into his pocket. His employees even told us so because they genuinely felt bad.
So NO DON'T HIRE THEM!!!!

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I booked ahead by almost a month, paid a $200 deposit. They confirmed the move 2 days prior and like others, NO SHOW. We had to rent trucks and find people to help us move within a couple of hours. The 2 or 3 addresses they show on websites are false. I visited all of them., talked to people there who said Eugene B. had moved out ages ago. One said he's been contacted by others who have been scammed by him with no-shows. His phone numbers don't take messages. Should have checked with Better Business Bureau where there are already several complaints. Forget the "honest Mennonite".

Eugene, from Mennonite Moving, came and did a 'quote.' When we booked Mennonite Moving for our move, Eugene came back over to pick up a deposit, which we had a receipt for. On the day of moving the company was a no show. Not only are we out $200, but we were scrambling on the day of moving! Some Mennonite...

We had hired Eugen of Mennonite Moving to transport some delicate LOGIX ICF samples from our Chilliwack manufacturing plant to the Vancouver Convention Centre for the 2011 Buildex trade show and back to our plant.
Mennonite Moving was punctual, reliable, and extremely helpful. They even helped us store a crate with no additional charges. Their services were above and beyond what we had hired them to do. We will definitely use them again for future jobs.

Eugen and his crew made it easy, they showed up on time and took great care in the handling of my belongings and didn't damage any items or my walls! I was also impressed with the overall efficiency as they actually finished in 30 minutes UNDER the quoted time!

We had three companies visit for estimates. we had high and low estimate. one week before moving day we got a referral from a friend on another company, named mennonite moving. we really liked the quote of the company and the website. so we just hired them, as we were tired of looking.
