My husband and I could not be happier that we chose Finishedbasement.ca to renovate our basement!

I met with a few other contractors that were rated generously on Homestars who gave us an average timeline of 6-8 weeks, a ballpark cost, and the obligation to organize and arrange for a plumber, electrician, and the selection and delivery of all materials ourselves. Sounded like a big long headache!

Meeting with Kyle from Finshedbasement.ca for a quote was refreshing. He provided me with a detailed list of options for the basement, including the cost of each option down to the dollar. The total quote provided included the cost of materials and was still much more reasonable than other companies that required us to select our own materials at an additional cost to us. The timeline Kyle gave for the job was 2-3 weeks. There was no question in my mind of which company to choose!

Selecting materials at the Showroom with Natalie was a wonderful experience. She walked us through each step of the way and helped us to make design decisions that coordinated well together. The selection of materials offered was extensive and elegant, and we were pleased with the clear sense we developed of what our basement was going to look like. The whole process took no more than an hour or so and saved us days of shopping at local hardware stores for materials and finishes ourselves!

The crew was very polite, friendly, and hardworking. With two young children in the house we were pleased to have such a pleasant group of people working on our home. They were always accommodating of any special requests, and went out of their way to make sure we were well informed. Other than the expected sound of a hammer and drill here and there they were not unnecessarily noisy or disruptive, a huge relief for us! They were very well organized. Plumbers, electricians, materials, ect. all arrived in a timely manner while my family had the pleasure of continuing with our day-to-day life as usual.

The basement was finished beautifully with attention to structure and detail. They did find some cracks in our foundation, and after showing them to us they made sure that they were filled. The crew was considerate in tidying up the space after they were finished. The bathroom and the whole space is more beautiful than we could have imagined. My husband and I were pleased that they were finished ahead of schedule in less then 2 weeks, though, my preschooler did miss saying, "hello," to, "the workers," in the morning after they left! : )

I would not hesitate to recommend Finishedbasements.ca. They did an all-around amazing job from start to finish! Well done!
