Ecowest Renovations-No Longer in Business

We've put our large renovation project on hold for now, but wanted to write a review about our experience with ecowest. Was recommend to them by a friend who just started working there.

Contacted them and Aaron came by for a quote. Liked that they were very professional and quick to reply with all emails. Never had to wait more than a day for a reply, unlike other companies we were considering for the project.

Aaron was very friendly, knowledgable and you could tell right away he's someone who enjoys what he does and is very good at it! He gave us a number of good ideas and even told us about things like redoing insulation in the roof area which would qualify us for a grant and would only end up costing us a few hundred dollars, but would help us save on energy costs. This is when i new he was good!

What i really also liked about eco west was that the quote came in a nice pretty package with tons of details and even nice diagrams! So you can tell they take their time and ensure everything is 120%. Aaron also explained how costs were transparent since everything was factored into the pricing, so nice to know.

With all the glowing reviews and my own personal experience wouldn't hesistate to use them!

We recently had Ecowest replace all our windows and patio door with new Vinyltek Windows. From start to finish Ecowest were fantastic. From the initial consultation with Bryan, through to the product selection and then the install day with Mo and his crew. Everybody was friendly, efficient and highly professional. We are extremely happy with our windows and the overall quality of service from Ecowest. We will have no hesitation in referring Ecowest to our friends and family and will definitely use them again for future renovation projects.

We recently had Ecowest replace 20 windows and 2 Patio Doors with new, wonderful Vinyltek windows. It was a pleasure to work with Aaron and Shawn when deciding the style and pricing of the windows. We were pleased that they accomodated our schedule, as we wanted to get all the exterior painting and fix ups done before the windows were installed. The 2 day installation went extremely well. We couldn't have asked for a better crew to do the job. The installers were very professional and polite. Just a great crew to have in your house, especially for a job as big as ours was. They were on time, considerate and very detail oriented. They were fun to talk to and addressed any question that we had for them. The finishing touches were exceptional and impressive. I have to just give a call out to Mo, who did a great job on the finishing touches on the master bedroom window. It looks wonderful. We had walk through tours for the neighbors when the job was done and everyone was so impressed. I know when it is time to do more renos, Ecowest will be the company we call. We have definitely recommended Ecowest to our neighbors and friends and will continue to do so. Thanks to everyone at Ecowest.

We had a very old bathroom from the 1970's that was falling apart (literally). My husband and I really just wanted a clean, classy bathroom that we would enjoy and a pain free renovation experience.

And wow, did we ever get more than that with Ecowest. The whole team - Aaron, Greg, Ron, John - were all amazing. The service and attention was top notch and they did an excellent job of keeping us in the loop and managing our expectations. We especially enjoyed how easy it was to pick our bathtub, toilet and various fixtures.

One of the questions Homestars asks is "How likely are you to recommend this company to your mother?"...too funny, we already did!

This summer I was able to follow though with my long awaited plans to replace all the windows in my 25 year old home.
While it is difficult to gauge the energy savings of such a project in the summer months, I was able to enjoy the immediate esthetic improvement. The difference in the look of the house, both inside and out with vinyl windows as opposed to aluminum is more that I had anticipated. Vinyl windows and trim have updated my home and improved the "curb appeal" emensely! Another benifit that I hadn't fully anticipated was the sound proofing quality of the windows. The house is almost silent now from all but the most intrusive outdoor sounds.
We were having dinner by candle light shortly after insallation when my signicicant other pointed out that the candles weren't "flickering" like they used to. We always wondered why the flame would flicker so much when all the windows were closed. I guess now we know!
This being November, the furnace is on and we are just now able to get a glimpse of our future energy savings. The over all temperature of the house is staying noticably even. Where before intallation there was a noticeable drop in temperature as we got closer to the larger windows. The furnace is not kicking in as often as it used to, nor is it staying on as long as it did prior to the window upgrades.
Thank you to Shawn and Aaron, owners of Ecowest for explaining every detail to me before I made this major purchase. There were no surprizes! A special thank you to Moe, the extrordinary young man who oversaw the insallation with care and sensitivity beyond his years.

Our deck had a built in hot tub which we no longer used. The vinyl had several tears which had resulted in some water damage. The Ecowest team came and demolished and rebuilt our deck and added new railings. The men who came and worked on our home were so efficient and really a pleasure to have around. They worked quickly and cleaned up the site every evening before they left. We had several questions during the process and they were answered promptly and to our complete satisfaction. When we had a concern about part of the work, Greg came out several times and worked on it until the problem was solved and was absolutely professional and friendly. In fact, we feel as if we have made some new friends!

We are completely thrilled with our new deck and dry garage and not only will we be hiring Ecowest in the future, we have also recommended the company to several of our friends. Thank you Bryan, Greg and all the wonderful team at Ecowest!

The expert installation and framing meant that we lost a negligible amount of our spectacular view of the North Shore Mountains, which is now crystal clear.
