The Custom Deck Company

I hired Dany to take down an old deck and to replace it with a new one. I paid extra for him to provide a bin to take away the garbage. Instead, he took it away in his truck but still charged me for the bin. Most frustrating is that he attempted to install defective and rotted wood for the deck. Most of his boards had severe cracking, holes, and were clearly rotten. Although after complaining to Dany he changed many boards, there are several remaining that look terrible. One post he installed is cracked from bottom to top. Dany advised that splitting is normal. But this post was cracked and in bad condition before installation. He must be buying premium wood that is defective for a heavy discount. Dany's contractor did the job, NOT Dany. His contractor was lazy, didn't stand behind his work, and I was forced to micro manage him because he was taking shortcuts and otherwise the deck would have had major problems. His contractor went into my garage without permission and used my tools as well. I am forced to hire another contractor to fix Dany's work. Because I held back some money due to Dany's incompetence and that I have to hire another company, he started threatening me. I had nothing but aggravation from using this company. Dany provides a competitive price, but you get what you pay for!!!
