stucco finish for an exterior dormer
After visiting Custom Stucco Design's booth at the Toronto Home show, I signed a contract for $4500 and made a $2000 deposit to have an exterior dormer finished. We heard nothing from the company until June. At that point we received a call from the owner (David) apologizing that our contract and deposit cheque had been misplaced, and they were ready to start the work, but understood if we didn't want to move forward and would return our deposit, and would not cash our deposit cheque until they heard back from us. A day later, our cheque was cashed, and when my wife asked David why he had done that, his answer was "he deposited our cheque to keep it safe". I have left multiple messages since that time stating we did not want to proceed and requesting our deposit be returned. As of today, we have yet to get a call back and are considering legal steps as our next action.

- do not contact or contract with this company.
