I spite of my best efforts it has come to this. I had hoped that I will not have to write this review but it was not to be. It has been almost 9 months since my new roof was installed. It was January of 2017 and since it was a mild winter, I got my roof early and I was pleased.
The first little disappointment came when contrary to the sales pitch that a magnetic sweep will be performed, it never happened. The reason cited for not doing a magnetic sweep was the snow on the ground that had accumulated within days of the crew finishing their job. Even though it was not a legitimate reason as the sweep should have happened just after the installers finished, I took it in the right spirit and never doubted that it will not happen in the spring.
I brought it to the notice of the sales man and left it at that as I was promised that the crew will come back to do it in the spring.
When spring came I noticed some puddles on the roof which were the result of improper grading and some imperfection in the dormer. I immediately informed the salesman and the company about the problems. I explained to them that it was in front of the house and that the imperfections result in puddles and when the water dries up it leave ugly marks on an otherwise perfect roof.
No response.
Reached back a couple of times and then finally received apologies for not taking care of this earlier. I have been promised a couple pf times but no one has cared to even look at it.
Well, on the topic of magnetic sweep, it never happened. I painstaking went around the house and collected as much as I could and disposed it off. But when my repeated requests to fix the imperfections went unanswered, I started saving the bits that I kept finding when I mowed my lawn. I still have them in a small bag.
In spite of all my good will and patience I have had a bad experience. This is my last ditch effort to make the company pay attention and I never wanted it to come to this. I have been patient for 9 months and I have come to a realization that good intentions and goodwill can only take you so far.
