A Degree Above Heating & Air

I highly recommend A Degree Above. Our 35 year old 80% efficient furnace was reaching end of life and we figured it should be replaced in the spring, rather than have it die on us next winter, plus it was time to install a Hi efficiency unit. A friend strongly recommended A Degree Above to us. We called Keith and arranged a convenient time for him to give us an estimate. In these Covid times he was fully in sync with the heath requirements. We have a 1952 bungalow with additions font and back leaving essentially only 2 options for routing the combustion air and flue gas pipes - out the south side wall or up the existing chimney. We had a fairly new water heater and didn't want to replace it, which left the one option - not an easy routing - out the side wall. Keith gave us a very professional and honest assessment of what was required and how it could be done. There was no trying to sell something not needed. The price for supply and installation was very competitive. We discussed a couple of options for furnace size and efficiency to help select the right one for us. We arranged for installation in the spring and it was accomplished in a couple of mornings. Morning one to prepare and install the peripherals - e.g. combustion air and flue gas piping, and the following morning to remove the old unit, bring in and install the new furnace followed by clean up and removal of all the old ducting, old furnace etc. We found him to be a hard, efficient, clean and dependable worker.
