My husband & I contracted John Lawless Projects from Oct 2012 - Feb 2013 to undertake the renovation of our kitchen, powder room, and main bathroom in our Deep Cove townhouse. John's winning combination is his reliability, attention to detail and just being a nice guy who you don't mind hanging around the house. His crew are also very professional. We lived in the house with our two young children during the renovation and it was as smooth as one can expect. There wasn't a lot of sticker shock, his estimates were very accurate after the full assessment. He's not going to be the cheapest guy you talk to, but he'll be on time and very professional.

We had our kitchen completely renovated. John was very helpful in the planning stages & offered useful & insightful suggestions. The work was carried out in a very professional manner with good attention to detail. Mike who did the actual work was terrific & has wonderful customer service skills. In 2007 we undertook a very major renovation to our older home in New Westminster.  We would like to express our satisfaction with the work undertaken by John and his trades. 
The project consisted of a ground floor addition with full basement, major interior changes including two new bathrooms and a complete kitchen renovation.   There were major improvements to the plumbing heating and electrical systems.   We also had John open up the roof in order to add some space on the second floor.  This was a particularly complicating factor.  The exterior siding and windows were also brought completely up to date with Hardi Composite Siding.
John consulted with us on all phases of the design from structural issues to layout to kitchen cabinets, to windows, to colors.  We are very happy with the use of the ICF technology used for the foundation.  We are very pleased with the kitchen design as well.
 We are very pleased with the level of craftsmanship of the trades.  We are also very satisfied with the quality of materials provided in the job.  
We found John and his crew to be at all times courteous, professional and good humored.  We lived in the house throughout the work and it was rewarding to work with a group who were consistently polite and thoughtful of our family’s well being.

John and his crew did a good job replacing windows in my house. Small deficiencies were fixed immediately. I would not hesitate to refer them to other jobs or households.

We hired John Lawless Projects for a renovation project of our kitchen. The project included removing our current granite counter, redoing all of the cupboards, etc - and then putting the granite back on! We were worried it would crack but our finisher and head carpenter Michael did a great job. We were very pleased with the final results but mostly the process. They are open, honest and reliable... which is not always the case with some trades. We would recommend them to anyone doing a project - large or small.
