Meridian Windows & Doors (Alberta) Inc. No Longer In Business

Breach of Contract
April 16, 2014 Meridian window replacement contract stipulated “blinds to fit back on”.
It was brought to our attention that there would be a gap in the blinds between the panes but they could do something. The rest would fit.
As it stands, for the rest of the windows, the blinds stop approximately 1” short of the sides of the window frame and stop about 1.5” to 2” above the bottom ledge.

Property Damage
1) Soffit was dented during window installation.
2) After Meridian reinstalled the blinds, one of the units fell down, scratching the window frame and breaking some of the blind’s end caps.

Background
The contract stated that the windows would have wood jambs and casings.
Meridian delivered all vinyl by mistake. In the interests of completing the project the windows were accepted.

July 8, 2014 After numerous contacts we were informed by the Meridian salesman that they would replace the blinds. He recommended a company to replace them and also recommended a particular blind type. We accepted his recommendations.
July 23, 2014 Meridian has still not approved the purchase of the replacement blinds.

The issue of the property damage has yet to be addressed by Meridian.

Meridian has initiated no contact to address the issues.

We are extremely pleased with the new Bow Window that Meridian installed for us last week, and as promised, the installation experience was painless. The experienced crew knew exactly what they were doing and made sure that any inconvenience to us was minimal. We actually enjoyed watching and talking to them throughout the entire 3-4 hour process and were greatly impressed by their skill and professionalism.
This was the sixth and final replacement window that Meridian have installed for us over the past 3 years, plus two exterior doors. As usual, it was a happy experience for us and a terrific finished product that continues to draw much admiration from the neighbors. In fact following a close inspection of ALL of our doors and windows yesterday, one of our neighbors is sold on the idea of using Meridian for her upcoming needs. I'm sure that she won't be the last.

I CALLED MERIDIAN TO COME AND EST A REPLACEMENT WINDOW THEY WERE ON TIME AND RIGHT ON WITH THEIR PRICING , WE WENT AHEAD WITH WORK .
THE MEN WHO CAME AND DID THE EST AND REPLACE THE WINDOW WERE RESPECTFUL AND PLEASENT TO HAVE AROUND . I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WHO ASKS.

Excellent quality and service from this company. I contacted them on my parents recommendation (they did their windows the previous summer). On the initial visit the rep was very helpful and informative with options for replacing my old living room window. the windows and installers were here within the time quoted and their work was excellent. they were fast, professional and cleaned up the site when they were done. The new windows look better than I had hoped and i'm expecting them to add $10,000 to my resale value.
I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

In September 2013 I had Meridian replace all of the windows in my home(seventeen windows including upstairs and downstairs) I was concerned about getting the best quality windows and I was not disappointed. After a winter with a lot of cold weather I am very pleased with the quality and efficiency of the windows. The installation crew were polite and efficient workers, they patiently answered all of my questions. I have no complaints at all about the quality of the windows and all the Meridian staff I dealt with from start to finish. I would purchase from them again in the future.

We had two windows installed by Meridan last year and have been completly satified with them.
This year we had a bedroom window installed.
We were assisted in choosing the proper window by salesman Ilya. The timeline from ordering to installation was exactly as scheduled.
The installation team was very efficient and thorough with their clean up.
The installation team of Ron, Valentine, and Nathan were professional and awesome to deal with!
We did have a minor question that was dealt with by sending out one of the original installers.(Valentine) Very personal service that was much appreciated!!

I'm very happy with my new windows, the quality is very good and they look awesome .My Mother in law got hers done about 2 weeks ago ,because she liked mine so much. I like to Thank Alex for installing windows .
