Hello, I am writing because I am extremely pleased with what happened because of a 'blind' call I made to PACO Construction. I sat at home, shaking my head on November 18th 2009. For the past 18 months I had two different contractors. Maddelena Contracting, which did such a poor job of my master bath and never returned to 'fix' the mess; and 8 months later, Mark Emery, who repaired the mess (sort of) and began to renovate my main floor powder room. However, he proceeded to 'walk away' from the job leaving my main level as mess. Let me say that the second contractor did an 'okay' job, but still did not complete the main bath and can not manage his time properly. "I'll be there tomorrow" is a classic line. But he never showed up 'tomorrow'. His 'word' was meaningless.
I was disillusioned by these contractors and the industry as a whole. I had 18 months to finish projects for an Energy Audit, and I was in tears due to the fact that these contractors did not have "me", the customer in mind. I work ridiculous hours, was never home to 'monitor' progress and 'trusted' these men. On Nov 18th I made a call to PACO Construction. Pavle Blair answered and I explained what was going on. However, one of my first statements was: Do you have the 'time' to commit to this job. With that, a meeting was set for the following Monday. Pavle Blair and Steve Meszaros showed up promptly at the time arranged. They took notes and heard all my concerns and viewed the scope of the job at hand. Within a few days, I had a quote and a signed contract stating the start date. I was excited! The professionalism of the gentlemen was evident. As the start date approached, I couldn't help but wonder..... would they be here on Dec 7th? WELL.... they arrived that day and finished the job within the allotted time frame. I do know that at one point there were two gentlemen working in my home, but I only met one of them by the name of Denny McKneller. I believe he did the majority of the work in my home and what wonderful work he did!! I am so very pleased. I happen to be home ill one day and watched him work - thorough, tidy, conscientious. Most of the week I was not home while he was there, and one of my concerns was not only the quality of the workmanship, but also the possibility of my DOG escaping while people were coming and going from my home! My dog 'escaped' twice before and there could have been dire consequences then. Fortunately, the fellows of PACO knew to be especially careful when opening a door! Needless to say neither the Quality of workmanship or loosing my dog was a concern. I am pleased beyond words. I shall say again, their quality of work, professionalism, promptness, communication and cleanliness separate them from the rest. They stand behind their work and are ACCOUNTABLE. It is a far cry from the first two companies I hired. I am so pleased, I am having Pavle quote on my basement renovation to begin sometime in 2010. I'd like to finish by saying that I am happy to speak with anyone who needs confirmation of what I have written or send you photos. My email address is: sheila@tsswoundcare.com and I shall answer any questions you may have.
Merry Christmas and Happy renovating,
