Kevin is a nice person to deal with. Unlike many contractors, he took the time to listen and offered opinions and ideas. It is evident he wants to do a good job. I would hire him again when the need arises!!

Kevin was a pleasure to work with when we hired him to build our backyard deck. He suggested a design that suited the shape of our backyard and the results were amazing; our backyard was transformed from plain and simple to awesome. Kevin did what he said he will do, he was punctual, reliable and constantly updated us on the progress of the construction. As my husband and I are close to retirement, Kevin worked with us to keep within our budget. Thanks to Kevin and his good work, we can now enjoy our summers entertaining ourselves, family and friends on our fabulous backyard deck. Thanks Kevin for making our summers more enjoyable.

The team at AJK were very professional and helpful in help bring my ideas to life as well as executing them to total blow me away. My husband is very hard to please and even he was extremely impressed by the great job these guys did with our basement we will definitely be calling them back for our next renovation project.

We were making plans to upgrade our Master bedroom. Two concerns were the small closets, characteristic of our older yet beautiful home and our desire for a walk-out to our backyard. What was once two bedrooms we wished to somehow create one big Master bedroom with more closet space but we were uncertain on how to go about it. When we met contractor Kevin King of AJK Carpentry & Renovations we were more than pleased with his ideas and his fees. Over a three week period Mr. King tidily tore down the dividing wall, removed old wood flooring, redid the ceiling,cut out opening for walkout door and installed patio doors, created two 36” closets and one 24” closet for linen… and ultimately created a beautiful open space and closets with sliding glass doors, adding a spectacular touch. The dividing wall was now no longer a wall but arches that added a rich quality to the newly redesigned room. We are thrilled and would recommend AJK Carpentry & Renovations to anyone seeking a change that will no doubt satisfy!

What was once a storage level, is now a beautifully finished basement. We wanted an open concept and had drawn up some plans. Kevin was able to create what we envisioned through a series of questions, suggestions and photos. During the reno we decided to make some changes that would involve tearing down part of what was built. while maintaining his professionalism, he made the changes but advised that the first one was free and a price tag would be attached.

He went on to explain that what we thought was a "simple change" involved a more complex structural design and that it would not meet code if he did as we suggested. I checked on some forums and found what he stated to be true.. He also made us aware of his limitations in what he could do and not just take our money and botch the job...Needless to say, we were glad we with whom we chose to start and complete this project and would recommend his company.
