Landscaping Driveway and Retaining wall, Gardens
We wanted to double the size of our driveway, using interlock, but not tear up the existing concrete portions. We also wanted our existing concrete stairs to be enlarged, again without using more concrete or destroying existing.
Greenhouse found an interlock style that complimented the concrete, used Indiana Limestone to enlarge the stairs with, used the same stone to build a small (and beautiful curved!) retaining wall to separate the lawn from the driveway.
They managed to somehow blend concrete, interlock brick, and natural stone into one cohesive finished product that looks great.
Then, completely out of the blue one day, they offered to cut away sections of our lawn, and create a curving flower garden, around our large blue spruce tree. It took them about 2 hours, and they charged nothing extra for it, this is why we're especially so happy.
They even came back and placed a few boulder into it, again no charge. They said they wanted to turn the job into a showpiece in the area, and felt the garden was needed to complete the job, but realized it was out of our budget.
The curb appeal of our house is dramatically improved, probably added $30,000 of value to our property for the $20,000 we spent.
Can't understand that other review I just read, doesn't sound remotely like the same people?
