I needed two load bearing walls removed and I have to say Bert was exceptional ! You can tell Bert is a true veteran when it comes to renovations. Extremely efficient, polite and professional! He is very knowledgeable and provides great advice if you need a second opinion. He is very passionate of the work he does, looking forward to using Cando Renovations in all my future projects. You cant go wrong with this guy!

This is the third time we have had Cando work with us. After decades in the reno business, not only can Bert do almost everything, he makes wise decisions on when to call in the myriad of trades people he has at his fingertips. The consummate professional, the site is left safe and usable at the end of each day. Replaced all hardwood flooring , water damaged ceiling. They even pained the bottom floor of the house. Fantastic company to have hired. The contractor was very plesant and was on the ball as there was no downtime. the work looks beautiful and I am very happy with the results that Cando Renovations provided for me !!!!!

Bert from Cando was great. I looked around to find contractors who could remove a load bearing wall and Bert was by far the most credible and knew exactly what he was doing. The work he did was amazing and he is a true professional, friendly and I couldn't be more happy with the result.

My wife and I have a long standing relationship with Bert. Prior to this current job, Bert finished the basement of our previous house. At that time, we got three quotes with Bert being the lowest. This initially had us wondering. So we went and visited site references and, as a result, we were confident enough to engage Bert. When we reviewed our thoughts and perceived needs for this basement with Bert, he was really good at guiding us down the proper path, with the end result being a much smaller scope. In the end, we were extremely happy with the final product.

We are not ones to recommend people to others as it could potentially reflect badly on us. That being said, we were so happy with Bert, that he completed the basements of 3 of our neighbours, my sister in law's, and he did a complete renovation of my other sister in law's house. He then did some odds and ends for my previous and current house and also did some work on my mother's house. In short, we trust Bert. So much so, we never get second quotes any more. If Bert cannot do a task we need done, he will provide referrals who I will and have equally trusted.

The current job that Bert just completed was the installation of crown moulding and wainscotting in our current house. To put is simply, he did an incredible job. He exceeded our expectations and I and confident he added a lot of value to our home.

In short, with Bert, we have trust in both what he says as well as the work he does. We do not hesitate in recommending Bert to anyone.

This spring we contracted Cando Renovations (Bert) to remove a 40’ support wall in our basement. The engineer that we hired to provide drawings , permits and advice explained.Due to the large span of the new beam the kitchen floor as well as some of the drywall might get damaged. However once our project was completed there was no damage to floors and walls.
Once the steel was in place we contracted Cando Renovations to compete the work with rebuilding the walls,electrical and trim work. We are very happy with the final result. We now have a room with a view. We did however have one problem. At the time of the renovation the central vacuum was damaged. I noticed this approximately two months later. I called Bert he came the next day and fixed the problem, again with no damage. Our experience with Cando Renovations has been a good and we look forward to working with them in the new year.
