Ordered two new bathroom vanities, including delivery with granite tops from sales person Lina. At delivery, both came with no packaging and looked like showroom units with paint defects and cracks and re-touched damage on the doors. It was noted on the invoice by the delivery person. Called 401home and were told that they will replace the units but we have to pay for the return (???). We returned them both ourselves. Here is when the nightmare started. A month and half later we got our money partially back for the vanities (not the tops), and will never return to this place. The invoice did not itemize the vanities and the top, so they charged us whatever they wanted for the tops. Here is a partial description of the ordeal we had to go through: constant misleading about when the units will be ready, trying to convince us to get a “custom made” unit from Scarborough location, which was not even a bathroom vanity, trying to explain us that was always someone else’s fault that the units were not ready, trying to convince us to fix the unit ourselves. Frank the owner seemed not to understand how business is done here in Canada, where if the customer pays for a new item wants it in good condition, and if it is not, the seller is 100% responsible to fix the problem, without any more charge or headaches to the customer. Constant misleading and professional incompetence are what you get from this business. My advice is, if you decide to buy something from 401home, after reading this, due to price considerations, don’t have it delivered, do not pay them a cent until you see the item in perfect condition at their location. Even then, you will not be safe, if it is damaged in transportation. I wish more people will take the time to write reviews. You get what you pay for.
