Kevin and his team were such an amazing help when we needed to paint the back deck of our rental property. We were facing significant time pressure to get the house ready for the market and Kevin went out of his way to make time for our job on a rush basis - at a rate comparable to other companies who couldn't get in as quickly. His customer service and timing were excellent, as was the quality of his work. The deck looks fantastic. There is no question that we would call on the Moore Brothers again.

Kevin and his team did an amazing job renovating The Bean, our independent cafe. In only two days they painted indoors and outdoors, installed wall paper, made small installations and coordinated the electric checking and lighting installation, giving a totally new look to the place. Their pride on their job is big, paying attention to all details and making sure everything reach their standards, which are high. Besides the visible results, working with them is also a pleasant experience. They are clear and honest at every step of the process, from quotation to the last details (they came back after finishing the job to finish all the small details). They give professional advise while respecting your choices and try to find solutions to all our requests. We wont hesitate to call them back if we need any other jobs, either at the cafe or at home.

In late summer 2010 we hired Moore Brothers to finish some replaced skylights after a roofing job. After discussing the job we also got a quote on refinishing a bedroom that required patching, priming and paint as well as most of our main floor with a dining room that needed ceiling work after an upstairs water leak. They delivered as promised, did a great job cleaning up every day and were very thorough. Kevin followed up on every concern. They provided a detailed quote, insurance and WSB certificates. We will hire them back in the future and have them planned for an exterior project in 2011.

I just had my dinning room and kitchen drywall repair and repaint.
After my roof is finish, because there is a lot of nail pooping and damage to my dry wall after roofing.
It was a difficult job because he needs to be very careful with walls to avoid more nail pooping.
Kevin had it done one day and 100+marks on detail job and clean up.
the walls looks great, and he actually do some additional work for my skylights to make them look good in every angle.

After searching Home Stars and getting quotations from a couple of highly rated painters we decided to go with Moore Brothers because they seemed to have a better understanding of the mould problem that we were looking to have fixed. The previous owners of the house had used regular paint in the bathroom instead of mould-resistant paint and, when combined with an extractor fan that made noise but doesn't suck, we ended up with some surface mould that we needed taken care of in the bathroom and in a few other places in the house. Kevin came when he said he would, did a job that looks great and was easy to work with. 10/10!

We hired the Moore Brothers after getting several quotes to repair and paint the dining room, bedroom, kitchen ceilings and walls in our late 1800's house. Our ceilings were cracked and damaged from the house settling over time, some old water damage and recent electrical repairs. The Moore brothers worked very diligently. They were pleasant and professional- keeping us up to date with their progress and even letting our cat in and out throughout the day. They made an effort to finish within our prefered time frame. The ceilings look brand new and far better than we ever expected. Thank you!!

Met with Kevin to review what was needed for quote, however Kyle was the lead for painting our basement and 3rd floor. Kyle and team did a fantastic job, firstly with their excellent job in patching, so many wall issues you'd never know it anymore and then ensuring they'd cover the walls properly, 2 coats and then with a new light, Kyle re-did a section as it did not meet his standard. Very impressive. These guys were fast and focused, they covered the entire basement and 3rd floor and also had no objections to the additional room and few patch and paint areas on the main and 2nd floors where some paintings were moved. Really appreciated and felt like my objective was theirs as well. Thanks Kyle!

We just moved into a new house that needed to be painted, and we got quotes from several companies. Moore Brothers provided one of the most competitive quotes, but more importantly, we got the feeling that they would do quality work. We were not disappointed. Kevin rearranged his schedule to fit us in, and the three painters did an amazing job! The painters were incredibly professional, efficient and friendly, and we could not be happier with how our house now looks. Also, after the painters were finished, we noticed a small place that had been overlooked (our fault, not the painters) and Kevin had somebody come by the very next day to take care of it.

We would absolutely recommend the Moore Brothers to anyone who's looking to get a great deal on a paint job, but who's not willing to sacrifice on quality. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Our project was particularly challenging because the paint on the brick and the metal fencing was peeling significantly - in big chunks as well as cracking patches. Furthermore, the house is a relatively tall Victorian on a downtown street - which means that the crew needed to work quite high up in not-much-of-a-yard.

We decided on The Moore Brothers after receiving half a dozen quotes. To be honest I hadn't met Kevin in person when we hired MB - which is a testament to his professionalism because I am very cautious and err, anal when it comes to hiring trades. After only speaking with Kevin on the phone I trusted him to do the job right because he was thorough, honest and service-oriented. His quote outlined exactly what needed to be done, and how much each service cost... down to the gallons of paint.

Due to the nature of exterior work, MB wasn't able to promise an exact date (weather etc), but I let Kevin know that my preference is earlier rather than later and I was pleasantly surprised when he delivered two weeks sooner. The job took 3 long days, 2 of which were during the sweltering heatwave. The job was also more labour-intensive than anticipated due to the original layers of cracking/peeling paint which needed to be prepped. The crew did not complain once - that is true professionalism.

When I saw the finished work, all I could say was "My house looks freakin' amazing!" Honestly. Even my neighbours and passers-by commented on how fantastic a job they did.

After watching one too many home reno shows where contractors are depicted as money grabbing vultures with no conscientious and who skip town in the middle of the night leaving the house in a state equal to a living nightmare; I was hesitant to say the least when it came time to hire painters. I’d read the reviews and say to myself “if only it were this simple and these reviews are true…”

After reading many reviews and arranging for three quotes we decided to hire The Moore Brothers to paint our dinning room, hallway, staircase, upper hallway, and small bath; including the walls, ceiling and trim. I had added wainscoting to the hallway which would add to the prep time. A further challenge would be to protect our birds and dog. We were very concerned about the amount of dust and fumes -- it is a small house.

On the day of the project Kelly and Kyle showed up on time. They were professional and very patient with our requests and accommodated our needs in a very pleasant and relaxed manner. At the end of the first day we noticed the paint was lighter than we thought after checking with Kevin we realized that we had given Kevin the lighter version of the paint chip, fortunately it was the same family just lighter. Well that was no problem Kelly offered to get it darkened before they started the second coat. They were as understanding and patient as one could be. The second day was spent finishing all the wood work, ceilings and hanging lights back up and fire alarms with new batteries etc. After picking up the paint that had been darkened they finished the job in the morning of the third day. I ran home at lunch to see the final product and tears almost came to my eyes…they did such a beautiful and professional job! It was better than I had even hoped it would be. They did an amazing job, were neat and completely cleaned up after themselves. I can honestly say it was the smartest decision I had made in a while and money well spent. My home looks lovely, the difference is amazing and the guys were fantastic! They definitely went beyond the call and did many little extras for us along the way. I can’t recommend them enough and no I am not related or even a distant friend. All of the reviews you see here are true. If you need to hire painters these are definitely the guys for the job.
