I had a leak on my flat roof and came to Homestars to find a reputable company to fix this leak. I called MrRoofRepair based on many positive reviews. The first red flag was the fact that they needed a Credit Card on file before they could come out and inspect the problem. I provided the card and they promptly arrived. Even though I am very upset with this company and their policies I must say that the person they sent, JP, was pleasant to deal with. He inspected the problem and provided an initial solution for about $400. The very next time it rained, more water came in. I phoned them again and was told by Michael over the phone that they would need to charge me again to come out and inspect. He claimed that if the the source of the leak was now different they would need to charge me again. Problem I have with this is that when you ask a company to come out and fix your roof, you dont expect to be paying in a "Trial and Error" scenario, especially since they want to charge you $350 each and every visit JUST TO SHOW UP!!! They did come out again and after spending over $2,000 I had more water coming in yesterday than I have ever had before. I did have a window washer step on the fresh tar like substance they put on the roof about 2 months after it was poured and his foot prints are about 1/2 inch deep but did not penetrate the membrane they had poured. Michael claims (without even seeing the footprints!) that this has compromised the roof and he will need once again a credit card and another $350 deposit to even come out and inspect. What a sham! Bad business. Awful.

It is very unfortunate that the facts have been manipulated in this review. We have thousands of satisfied customers and almost 200 reviews all of a positive nature that reflect our quality work and dedication to helping our customers solve their roofing problems.
In this instance we did a repair back in May where we resolved the customers leak issue as per his request. The few weeks later when it rained we were contacted that another leak was visible so we quickly responded and set up a return visit ( at no charge) to see the cause of the issue and assess it. The customer was home and our repair specialist explained in great detail the cause of the new leak that is totally unrelated to the first issue which was correctly resolved and not leaking anymore. The repair specialist identified the new leak source was from his flat roof.
It was explained in great detail in person to our customer who fully acknowledged that our flat roof repair solution was the answer to his new problem or why else we he re hire us and agree to a repair?. We provided him a detailed quote and he agreed to have the work done. Shorty after our flat roof repair which involved a specialized process on the roof that needed time to settle the customer had window washers step on his newly repaired roof and caused huge sinking 3" deep foot prints on the repaired surface. The customer quickly called us and we responded immediately that based on the nature of the flat roof repair process and 3" deep holes/foot prints that they need to be repaired immediately as this compromised the membrane and the repair and we warned him if it was not dealt with he will have roof leak issues in the future once cold weather comes. We even suggested that the customer contact the window washer in an effort to get them to compensate him for their mistake which would result in another repair visit to fix his foot print issue that we didn't cause. The customer choose to ignore our professional advice and did nothing to fix these foot prints and this was 5 months ago. He gambled against our strong advice to get it fixed to avoid future problems and did nothing and now has the leaks we said would occur. We are there to help and responded to every request but the foot prints were not our doing and there would be another fee to repair them. We also have on file the customers email boosting how happy he was with our repair services. We were there to help every step of the way but were punished with a bad and misleading review because he ignored our advice and ran into problems. Its unfortunate but we handled every aspect professionally and advised our customer accordingly in an effort to help protect his home.
