Knob and tube removal, outdoor lighting
We hired Aegis last September to replace our knob and tube wiring and put in some outdoor potlights and a motion detector floodlight. We were skeptical at first because there was only one review on homestar and their quote seemed too good to be true, but after speaking personally with Stilian and with the references he provided, we decided to hire them. We did not regret it! Stilian was so friendly, and always fully explained everything and even showed us the knob and tube wiring in the wall after removing a light switch.
We had just taken possession of the house when they started work, and we wanted the job to be complete before we moved our stuff in. Stilian and the rest of the team worked hard and finished all the "dirty work" before our moving day. I have heard stories about all the dust created when knob and tube wiring is replaced, but they made few holes and they were all small, and they cleaned up after themselves so thoroughly that we never saw any sign of the dust. They also patched up all of the holes they made.
Soon after work was complete, one of the power outlet covers came loose from the wall. We called Stilian and he came himself within a day or two to refasten the screws more securely.
Stilian arranged the required inspection, and when the inspector requested an extra safety thing for the power outlets in the bedrooms Aegis absorbed the cost and still honoured their original quote.
We will definitely hire them again for our next electrical/lighting project.
