Kris's Painting and Popcorn Removal

My wife and I called Kris to paint our house we had just purchased and we couldn't have asked for a better job! He gave us great colour ideas and his price was extremely fair. If you want a professional, I recommend calling A1 Kris's Painting!

Kris and his team did a fantastic job painting our loft. Our loft had a lot of colour on the walls when we moved in, and we wanted to take it back down to neutrals. Kris was able to make the place look great & within our budget. We'll definitely give him a call when our next paint job!

Kris personally painted my home recently and did a fantastic job!

Kris came by to give us a quote on our basement that had flooded due to all the melting snow. Kris cut out the bottom 2 feet of drywall all around our entire basement, replaced it with new drywall, plastered, primed nd painted. Kris' price was very competitive compared to the other 2 quotes that we had received. Kris was VERY friendly and easy to work with. There were a few changes that my wife had wanted that were not all that easy but Kris had said "that won't be
a problem" with a big smile. Kris' slogan on his card and on his van says " ALL WORK GUARANTEED TO PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE" and there is no way he could of picked a more suitable one because we were smilng ear to ear. Kris and his crew started out just to redo my livingroom/dining room but I was so empressed with his work. I ended up getting him to repaint every room in my house, and my Cottage in haliburton area.

We needed plaster repair after removing the wallpaper from our 1930s plaster walls and having some electrical replaced to bring our house up to modern standards. Adding new light fixtures also revealed a number of nicks, dents and scratches in the plaster that weren’t previously evident. Plasterers were difficult to get in for quotes – we called at least ten tradesmen and their prices/advice varied.

Kris came in for an initial quote about a day after calling him. One of the things that stood out was his ability to communicate what needed to be done and how he would do it. He avoided the ‘quick and dirty’ fixes that some other quotes recommended and his price was the most competitive of the bunch. He wasn’t in-and-out like others we had in for quotes; Kris and Pete were in for more than an hour, answering all of questions, presenting a number of options for our consideration and showing us before-and-after examples of their work.

We had Kris and Pete in to patch, skim and paint our main floor hallway, upper floor hallway, our living room and a bedroom. They did an excellent job – you can’t find any of the holes the electrician put in the wall, you'd never geuss we used to have wall sconces, and the small imperfections that we could see under new lighting are no longer visible.

They went beyond our expectations – taking care around our main floor gumwood, re-painting the baseboards on our upper floors to contrast well with the new paint colour and covering everything while working and painting. Our original plan was to have them repair the plaster and leave the painting to us, but we're glad we had Kris paint for us - he did a great job, the added cost was very reasonable and he handled on-the-fly requests without complaint. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had wanted to reno the main floor of our house for sometime now. After a long wait we have finally decided to get it done. We had many problems along the way with our general contractor who just could not get his trade guys in on time. That's when we decided to find our own trade guys and let go of our general. That's when we got ahold of Kris. Kris and his team were able to finish all the drywall and plastering work that was not finished from the general. They were the friendliest guys we have ever had to deal with. The painting turned out amazing! The best part about changing over to using Kris was we had saved $2900 from what the general was charging us. We will be using Kris again in the spring to paint the exterior of our home.

We finished our basement and renovated our entire house and needed professional painters to put the finishing touches to make it our dream home. After getting 3 different quotes, we knew right away Kris was the guy for the job. He was approachable and friendly and had a lot of great recommendations in terms of paint quality and approaches both for new dry wall and making the best out of existing walls and ceilings from a 1950s home. It wasn’t until the job began that Kris really stepped up and impressed. We had complications with contractors and had to terminate and award new ones in order to course correct several errors on the job. The errors resulted in a lot of dry wall rework, patching, priming and correcting. Kris stepped up and took care of everything. There was never a worry. He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. He and his team were clean, professional and their work was great – not to mention very reasonable. We’d recommend him in second!
