Entire 1st floor Hardwood flooring
www.floorwood.ca
Floorwood Solutions Inc. trio helped me complete the long overdue project “that was to get my entire first floor installed with hardwood flooring”. Team trio helped me right from the selection of best hardwood available for my budget, species, colour, new baseboards to all the way much needed repairs of sub floors. Patricia helped me with the colour selection and educated me with the advantages and disadvantages of different types of wood species and finishes available over a period of few months. Fast forward….Robert came to my house to measure and to estimate the cost for the new flooring and on a later date… once I ripped the carpets and under-padding from the 1st floor I discovered few cracks in the subfloor that somehow the builder magically had left unrepaired. On the day of installation Robert and Darek did the necessary repairs on the sub floor before the actual installation of the hardwood even though that was not part of the contract we had mutually agreed upon. These guys went above and beyond and that should give “any customer the impression” that they mean good business for the years to come and not just do a quick sloppy job and pack your tools and leave with your money.
Here are few more things I like to point out “Robert said it will take 2 days to complete the installation” and he indeed finished his job within his estimated time frame. Second pointer: normally Hardwood installers would say that to buy extra 5 – 10 % hardwood for waste and cutting purposes. Guess what Robert said I will save u some money and he was so confident that he only estimated 2.5% waste…he was right on dot and I was left with half a box unused hardwood that was far from 5-10% and it did save me little money there.. I am aware of that most of the time you may get lot of installers for cheaper price but IMO it is the installer and his finishing that makes your hardwood look good or crap no matter what kind of wood /species you may have purchased.
These guys know their work well, very skilled with their cuts and finishing and I would say they are so capable with their MITRE SAW, you will have to see their work to believe it. On the other hand Darek is a perfectionist and he does his job as if he is working for his own home. In short this trio team is pleasant to deal with and they are very accommodating, immensely knowledgeable and truly professionals. I would not hesitate to refer them to friends, and family or anyone looking for an excellent hardwood installer.
