work was done incorrectly, unable to reach contractor when problems came up, contractor refused to correct some problems claiming the problem was our fault. Had to finish the detail work ourselves after 4 tries of his staff doing it wrong. Contractor too busy with outside interests to pay attention to the contracting work.

What could this company do to improve their services?: tell the truth about commitment to the business of contracting, have reliable means of communications, to the work properly and stand behind your work and correct the errors if they arise.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?: have everything single piece of detail listed in the contract, know if the contractor has other business/work interests or is solely in the business of contracting.
