We had been customers of Just Clean It since July of 2009. Over that time there have been some disappointments with their customer service, although the actual cleaning has been satisfactory.
A most distressing situation occurred today as our cleaner Andrew phoned up an hour before a scheduled cleaning to say that they're no longer serving our area (North York) and will be concentrating only on the east end of Toronto.
So, with effectively no notice, we find ourselves no longer their customers.
Part of the reason we initially chose Just Clean It was their offering of environmentally friendly cleaning, which they do, but at that time they also committed to having their personnel's clothing cleaned in a scent-free manner. They no longer seem to make that commitment
This may not be an issue to most customers, but my wife suffers from chemical sensitivities so finding a service where the personnel as well as the products were non-toxic was a big deciding factor.
With time, this ceased to happen. Unfortunately, from our point of view, Andrew would show up with what to our perception was highly scented clothing. It also meant that areas that had been cleaned had to be avoided for a while until the scent went down.
Beyond that, last minute rescheduling (shifting a few hours later) seemed to become almost the norm on cleaning days - which was a minor inconvenience in our situation. In the last few months a couple of cleanings were entirely cancelled at the last minute, and no agreeable time could be scheduled for a makeup cleaning.
So, all in all, finding ourselves no longer customers is probably just pushing us to make a search for an alternative which we would likely have had to do in any case.
However, cancelling our service without any advance notification is surely not good customer service.

Thank you Douglas for your feed back, while we try to accommodate our clients who have chemical sensitivities each case is different, you provided your own products, and equipment, we never used any of our products in your home, so if there was any smells, it came from the products that you provided, And we gave you a discount because you provided your own supplies. Andrew Serviced your home for over a year so if he was showing up with scents that was making you ill, I wish you would have brought it to his attention, a whole year is a long time. We felt that it was time to part ways, We wish you all the best.
