Paint

I have a rental. Got a referral from friend and called Sammy. He came to paint the condo. Told him to use Benjamin Moore paint, which he got from Home Depot. The work was well done and no mess was left after the job. He was booked for some days but came to our condo after that. I wish he came earlier. Anyway, Good job!

Structured Wiring and Insulation project

Sam was invaluable with my structured wring (telephone, cable, audio, video) project. My reno project was a complete gut of a backsplit. I contacted several home automation companies, my budget didn’t allow for full implementation of my smart home endeavor. I wanted to rough in all the wiring that would make my home as future proof as possible while the walls were down. The companies I contacted suggested different wring scenarios that were designed for the equipment that they sold. Sam did a great job in helping me view my wiring project with an out of the box approach. Sam suggested it dint matter what components I would choose now or in the future, what mattered was that infrastructure was in place. The analogy that he used to help me put this into prospective was: "let’s design a superhighway for your current and future needs, imagine the 401 with 12 lanes in each direction, who cares who makes the cars that use the highway" I had approached the design of the project from an end users perspective, I didn’t receive this advice from other companies, Sam didn’t have an agenda to sell me what he had either in stock or who he was an authorized dealer for.

Sam also insulated my project. Sam choose a high density closed cell spray foam that is ideal for the exterior walls, this was followed up with R19 safe& sound bats, what really impressed me with Sam’s insulation work was the way he affixed the vapor barrier to the studs around my windows. Typically red tuck tape is used, Sam explained that even though tuck tape meets code it doesn’t adhere very well to wood, instead he used some sort of ‘acoustical gunk” and I have a 100% bond. I have absolutely no drafts coming in from around my window and door openings……Unfortunately I had already made a commitment for another company for my drywalling and taping, I couldnt back out of the agreement. Hind sight being 20/20 I should have had Sam do my entire project.

I’m extremely impressed with Sam's ethics and overall direction on my job. I would not hesitate to use Sam's services in the future, I would also highly recommend Sam as consultant, he knows his stuff.

Range hood installation, GFI plug installations, and more.

I contacted Handy Sammy after moving into my new home. I was overwhelmed with my long “To-Do” list that I frankly found daunting and uncomfortable tackling. I had light fixtures that needed replacing, GFI plugs that needed to be installed, a range hood that needed replacing, a dimmer switch that didn’t work, locks that needed changing and a drip in my laundry room that was becoming a problem. I called Handy Sammy and I was instantly put at ease with his knowledge and eagerness to help. I was comfortable and confident that Sam would do the job right. I was very impressed how quickly and efficiently the job was done, and at a fraction of the cost! I would recommend Handy Sammy to anyone. Sam is professional and fair.

Sincerely,

Elias
