Sam The Handyman

I had a small drip from my roof where an old contractor had installed a kitchen vent. I called Sam due to his high rating on homestars to take a look at the problem. The first thing he told me was the other contractor had no clue what he was doing and that the kitchen vent needed to be aluminum, to replace it and the washroom one would be $400.00. The next day we we had a giant storm and the small drip turned into a running tap causing my kitchen ceiling to collapse. I called SAM and he came by to do this horrid job on my room adding tons of shingles everywhere convinced that it was the valley on my roof. Not too long later, the next big rainfall and still the roof is leaking just as bad, but this time with mismatched shingles. I called SAM again and he clearly tells me his job was NOT to fix the leak but replace the kitchen vents. What bullshit, he is not the upright guy that many people make him out to be, especially if the work he does doesn't work. He talks the talk, but when the work he does actually sucks, they will find some way of weasling out of coming back out. I do not recommend him, go with a trust company that has a brick and mortar location that you can visit and can guarantee their work on paper than verbally. Take my advice people, you'll save alot of money.
