I had a few items to be moved from my daughter's condo to my house, plus a used stove to be moved to my brother-in-law's condo. They provided a quote of $675 + GST, but the final invoice was $1016 + GST, a whopping 50% over the estimate, with no changes in contents, date/time, location.
If I had been given an accurate estimate I would not even have bothered with the move - the moving cost would have been higher than the values of the items.

Every quote is based on the information provided by the client to the sales agent where every detail matters and can affect the total time. You have been provided with a non-binding quote, which means that your final bill depends on the actual time that the move will take.Every move is unique, the moving process and time can be affected by many factors: layout at each location, walking distance from apartment to the elevator, elevator and dock accessibility, walking distance from/to the truck’s parking slot, reassembly works, driving distance and traffic, downtime while waiting for elevator/keys, unpacked miscellaneous and loose items, etc. The above mentioned reasons add up on the total time and we hope that makes sense to you. The moving crews are trained to provide an efficient and smooth move, however they cannot be faster lacking care of the items and safety measures.
