Foundation Crack Repair/Waterproofing
Spring thaw brought water into our basement; not a lot but enough to know it should not be there. I started to take the finished walls down and could not find the source so I started pulling up the tile on the basement floor and found a long crack. Easy enough fix I thought; fill the crack and put a sump pump in. Called Dave and he came to look and as we were talking sump pump locations he said he was not convinced that was the issue and started to methodically go through his process and asked me to take other sections of the wall down. Low and behold an 8 foot crack exactly where he thought it would be. I was lucky, the ground was only frozen about 1.5 feet so his team came out to repair and waterproof the area.
His team was thorough, kept me involved in all the steps, and left my property exactly as is minus the leak! Lets face it, foundation repairs can be costly due to the amount of labor involved, however I would say what you are really paying for is Dave’s expertise to identify and solve your problem. In the end my basement is dry and I have peace of mind that the foundation was repaired and waterproofed and this issue will not be coming back to this area again. I am cautious with internet reviews but this one paid off and I would definitely recommend Dave Marcotte Foundations.
