310RENO Design & Renovation

My wife and I were expecting in April and decided to hire a company to finish our basement to utilize the unused space. We contacted 4 companies and interviewed each one with hopes of finding the right company to complete our job.

310-Reno was the third company that we contacted, and from the very first phone call, it was evident that this organization was top notch! We dealt with Mike from start to finish, and we laid out some pretty tight deadlines and high expectations. We had to have the basement gutted, designed, built, and painted before my wife was due to give birth in April. Although Mike and 310-Reno wasn't the lowest quote, I was comfortable with Mike's approach and confidence that his team could complete the job to our level of satisfaction in the time frame that we allotted.

Mike's crew stared the job in the last week of January! First, Mike came and took detailed measurements of the basement, and conducted a thorough interview with us so that he knew exactly what we wanted. On our list was a bathroom, a bedroom/office, a play area for the kids and a TV/Entertainment area. Mike and his team help design a basement that I couldn't have imagined was possible.

Once the plans were finalized, Mike sent Hugo and Jason to start the work. These two guys were fantastic. They showed up on time every day and worked late. They were always open to questions and changes to the layout as the project evolved. Mike, ho managed the project was also fantastic at communicating with us and his guys. Anytime we had a question, or needed to make changes, he was only a phone call or email away! He always got back to us within 24 hours with detailed explanations.

Our project took a little longer than we had originally anticipated, however no fault of Mike or 310-Reno. We had multiple cracks in our foundation that took some time to get repaired, installation of a new furnace, tank-less hot water heater, air-conditioner and gas fireplace and we also removed some support beams which delayed our progress because of the structural engineers availability. With that being said, within 4 weeks, Jason and Hugo had the basement framed, wired and dry walled, ready for taping.

Over the next two weeks, the whole basement was completed to perfection. New floors were installed, the walls were painted, the bathroom was finished, trim was installed and Hugo and Jason helped me wire in-wall surround sound speakers.

All in all, our basement was completed ahead of the birth of our baby and on budget as promised. Mike and his crew at 310-Reno were fantastic! I am definitely going to use them again with some main floor renovations that we have planned.
