After shopping around the lower mainland, we went with Millennium flooring to do an install of engineered hardwood. Mike the owner was so pleasant to deal with, and really seemed to be into customer service and making sure we were happy. The initial install of the floors was not done properly, so at his expense he had to come back and start almost from scratch. After the second attempt of reinstalling the floor, it's worse than the first time! We have had our insurance company escalate this as Mike has refused to come back and correct the problems. We had to have a third party come in and do an inspection of the floors. Here is part of the summary of their findings: BASED UPON ALL VISUAL OBSERVATIONS, INTRUSIVE INVESTIGATIONS, SOUND BUILDING PRINCIPLES RELATED TO THE INSTALLATION OF ENGINEERED FLOATING WOOD FLOORING SYSTEMS AND A FULL REVIEW OF THE MANUFACTURES WRITTEN INSTALLATION PROTOCOLS RELATED TO THEIR FLOORING SYSTEM WHEN PLACED OVER SLAB ON GRADE CONCRETE FLOORS IT IS MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION THAT THIS FLOORING SYSTEM WAS NOT INSTALLED TO THE MANUFACTURES WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.......THE COMPLETE FLOORING SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO BE REMOVED AND A NEW FLOORING SYSTEM INSTALLED AS PER THE MANUFACTURES WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Millinniums response to this was: Take me to court. I would caution against dealing with this bad business!
