I wanted to give a review about the company as I received a very good service from Sure Cut. Our pool needed some major repairs and the main problem besides the repairs itself was the little time that we had for that. I told that in advance to them and I appreaciate that the work was completed to my satisfaction well within the time frame I gave to these guys.

I would recommend them to anybody. The price I got from them was also a good deal. Hope you continue the good work.

almost immediately excuses started about why he was unable to start work. Minimal contact with Surecut but did indicate was going away in July for 2 weeks and needed work done before i left.
Surecut continued to ignore my calls, voice mail was almost always full but when i was able to get through my messages were not returned.
Had someone else attempting to contact them on my behalf. I am disabled (paraplegic) and she helps out in situations like these.
she was also unable to reach the company by phone , once again messages unreturned, contact via their website unanswered etc. She was finally able to reach them via text.
They cited equipment problems as reason for not being able to start the job. She gave them some more extensions and after many excuses got them to agree to either show up and start the work on August 6th until completion or show up with my cash deposit as a refund.
Michael agreed but did not show up, said had more equipment problems and is now once again ignoring all contact attempts.

As mentioned i am a paraplegic and have an interior elevator in my home that needs to be replaced. Workmans Compensation is completing this work but have indicated they are unable to begin until the pool work is completed due to access issues. Surecut has been made aware of this.

The company is now refusing to return my deposit all together. I contacted the Better Business Bureau as well and they contacted the company on my behalf. The company is still refusing to return the deposit despite the fact that they agreed both verbally and in writing to return the deposit if they failed to show up to start the job.

I have all of the text messages where Michael from Sure Cut has agreed to start work (3 months after they were originally supposed to start ) where he agrees to return the deposit if anyone would like to see them.

My issue with Sure Cut is not so much whether the job was well done (which was not), but with follow-up issues. Last fall Sure Cut filled in my pool, as well as resod the rest of my lawn. I have 4 outstanding issues with the work done last fall, namely: (a) sinking in the pool area, (b) removal of pool heater, (c) incorrect measurement of my lawn for resodding, and (d) weeds sprouting in the resodded part of the lawn. However, other than 1 returned call from SureCut in May of this year, I have not been able to talk to them directly. My calls are not being picked up; they are not returned; my e/mails are not replied to. If they are still in business, I would call this poor customer service and support.

We originally met with mike of sure cut in March with the intention of filling in our pool in May. We left him with a $1,000 deposit. When we called back in May to schedule the start date we did not hear back for 2 weeks, after daily phone messages. Mike only then responded via text.

Once the pool was filled, We were left with a dent in one of our basement windows and a dent in our fence which shifted our stone work. We have yet to receive any compensation and he has has yet to get back to us 1-1/2 weeks later. He also asked for full payment before the job was complete, which isn't good business.

I would not recommend surecut, in my opinion they were sloppy and not respectful of our property.

This is an amendment to my earlier review where I was exceptionally please with the work that this company completed. After the winter thaw we noticed that there was a marked dip in the ground where the deep end of the pool was. Given we had a 10-year warranty I thought this would be a simple thing to fix. Not at all the case. After 4 months of many e-mail requests, phone messages, irritatingly slow response rates, and my son 4-year old son actually hurting himself from tripping in the hole, the company finally filled it in - over the top of the new grass they had laid in the fall and NOT replacing the sod but throwing a bit of grass seed on it with NO instruction on how to care for the seed. I'm sure Sure Cut would say there is a reasonable explanation which, as a reasonable person, I was totally open to hearing if they actually followed up with phone call or e-mail. There's not doubt this company will take out your pool with speed and efficiency and get it "show ready" for the first few months. Just don't expect the 10-year warranty to be worth more than the paper it's written on.

"Michael Sparrow will keep his word and his company, 'Sure Cut Landscaping', will do first class work for you." ......This is what I tell my friends and neighbours, and anyone who is considering getting their swimming pool filled-in.
Having spent most of my working life on major construction projects, I thought it would be easy to find a good contractor to remove our swimming pool. However, after contacting and talking with several pool removal contractor representatives, I was discouraged until I met Michael Sparrow. He immediately impressed me as the most knowledgable, extremely courteous, prompt, kind and patient person that I dealt with in my search for a contractor. Michael is a customer-focused team player who is a good communicator, very mature, a self-starter, with an outstanding personality, who always keeps his word.
Not surprising I found his employees, assigned to do the work here, exhibited those same excellent customer-focused characteristics. They were punctual, hard working, competent, friendly, and considerate in explaining what they were doing every major step of the way.
We are very happy with the job Michael Sparrow and his company did for us. Today, you simply cannot tell that we ever had a swimming pool in our back yard.

Without hesitation ...I highly recommend Sure Cut Landscaping!

Sure cut did a great job.
They had the right equipment to fit through a small gate and fill a 20 by 36 ft pool in 2 days. They did everything promised and cleaned up at the end. I highly recommend. Great work at competitive pricing!

When we first bought the home, it came with an inground concrete pool that we never used and had to maintain. It took up so much time and room. Not only did Michael and his team helped remove and fill the hole, they also did our landscape. He also took the time to explain the procedures and listened to how we wanted our backyard to look like with a reasonable price. Thank you so much Michael and your team! We definitely recommend him to everyone.

Tears of joy at the work Michael and team did with our new backyard. So beautiful and they did it so quickly!! In and out in two days including clean up. So happy. If you need your pool retired - check these guys out!

The quality of service was great. Repairs were completed on time and customer service was above expectations as the repair procedure was explained before the job started. Highly recommended!!! Good luck!
