This is a service beware review. I hired Amerispec 3yrs ago to inspect my house that I was purchasing. Everything was inspected by one of there so called professional's. I was told this inspector had a look from top to bottom of my house and on completion presented me with a summery of report. I was given an all clear with no problems with the house from the inspector and written on the report.
2 yrs later I hired a contractor to add more insulation to my attic but was refused because it was found that there was asbestos insulation all through out my attic.
After contacting Amerispec about this issue and reviewing the home inspection report, they told me that I had already signed off on the report and would not take responsibility for over looking the asbestos. I then had to hire a asbestos removal company to remove the insulation and install safe insulation. This was paid out completely by my own money. Amerispec refused to compensate the cost or take responsibility for this problem. I will note, there were other things that had been over looked by this inspector that was found later.
When I hired Amerispec, I thought I would be getting a quality inspection. This was far from that. Do your research before hiring a home inspector. Be sure they have the proper equipment to do the job fully and completely such as a mold inspection tester. This guy showed up with only a flashlight and ladder.

This is a totally false review, (Maybe by our competition, I don't know). We have been in business for 20 years now and only conduct professional inspections following the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors Standards of Practice. We certainly never show up with "Only a flashlight and a ladder." We have completed more than 25,000 inspections and we have a complete computerized record of all the addresses and clients.
