I would recommend Cavan Hills Landscaping. From start the finish, Darcy didn't disappoint. He sent us Digital pictures of the design. Once the project started, he showed up everyday until completion. He had to pivot and redesign due to the slop. He experience, knowledge and creativity in design is very impressive. Our friends and family are so impressed with the landscaping. It has probably increased the value of our house by $200K. Our old ranch style house now looks modern.

The deck was peeling and falling apart and the patio stones were installed incorrectly and graded towards the house causing water to flow into my basement access stairs. I hired Darcy from Cavan Hills Landscaping to fix both the deck and the grading problem. Before getting started, Darcy prepared an effective 3D digital design for me to review and approve. Having a 3D representation to review really helped me visualize what the project would look like once completed. It was fantastic to work with a contractor who not only knows how to use design tools, but also has great design sense. Darcy’s professional approach and excellent communication skills made me confident in his company’s ability and trustworthiness—so much so that I was confident enough to be out of town over the week that the work was completed! When I returned, I was thrilled with the outcome. The work was finished on-time and the yard was immaculate. Darcy and his crew did an amazing job and the deck and landscaping look fantastic! It was a pleasure working with a professional and high quality contractor. I love my deck!

We hired Cavan Hills Landscaping to replace an old walkway and steps for our Victorian house. We wanted the new walkway to fit with the period architecture while also leveraging modern and durable materials. Darcy Beck, the owner of Cavan Hills Landscaping was extremely helpful sourcing materials that suited our needs. Unlike any other hard-scaping contractor we’ve dealt with before at our previous home in Ottawa, Darcy not only had the installation experience and expertise required for the job, he also was able to provide sound design advice and options.
Our experience was excellent. Our new walkway and steps are not only beautiful, they provide us with a safe and easy to maintain entrance and have added value to our home. We have had lots of compliments and we’re thrilled with the results.

Working with Darcy and his crew was awesome – unlike some contractors, Darcy was clear and professional with his communications. Especially with landscaping, weather can impact the work schedule, but Darcy was fantastic about keeping us up-to-date with the project schedule and timing and he was realistic with his estimates.

Cavin Hills landscaping was happy to take our deposit but in the end was full of empty promises. Did not do any of the work and suggested a return of our despot because he could not / would not do the work. In the end he kept a portion of our deposit due to "admin" fees and never provided an invoice for this. My suggestion move on and save yourself months of aggravation.
