Unfinished work. Unresponsive. Will not back up work that is poorly done.

I am not sure if he has gone out of business, but I would love to speak to other people who have had the same experience that I have had.

Ricky was great for us! Our goal was to increase our space in a time-efficient manner and on a budget.
Ricky guided us through from start to finish. He helped us design our vision and when asked he advised us on finishes. He layed out such a specific and clear budget, which was helpful for us to know where we wanted to spend.
We added a second story to our bungalow with full internal and external reno. It was done in 6 months and it is beautiful!
We enjoyed working with Ricky and we love our home he built. We would definitely recommend Ricky.

Ricky did a great job renovating our house for us. We added a second floor to the house and gutted the existing first floor, and despite all of this work Ricky was able to get it done in only 5 months; hence why he is known as Quicky Ricky. We were definitely satisfied with the work and have already recommended Ricky and RKS to our neighbours and friends.

RKS managed my project from initial concept through to finished build and provided expert guidance throughout to meet our goals. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
Communication was easy throughout the process with frequent budget updates, site visits and phone consults. The team helped navigate the building and finishing choices throughout the process and advised on the considerations and tradeoffs associated with each selection.
RKS was diligent with all trades to ensure high quality workmanship while adhering to a schedule and delivering on time.

RKS did a fabulous job for our renovation. It was done very fast and efficiently. Working with RKS was seamless and the communication was fantastic. We gutted our main floor and added a second story with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. RKS helped us with our choices and deciding on how to make the perfect home. I would recommend RKS to anyone who wants to do a renovation or build from scratch. They are excellent and it completed even earlier than anticipated. Thank you again, RKS!

I worked with RKS over the period of 16 months when I decided to tear down my North York house and build a new one on the lot.
I worked directly with RKS as my building expert in collaborating with my Architect and my home designers to ensure my desires and costs were kept in line. Ricky has decades of experience and hundreds of houses built, he really knows his stuff.

He came in on budget, on time, with the quality I expected. There were things that were not perfect at the end, but he had a smart system of having me take 30 days living in the new house to collect all the issues (mostly paint issues, floor scratches...cosmetic stuff) and then had his trades come back for 1 full week to do the final touches.

Would certainly recommend RKS for a major reno or new construction.

This company custom built my 3000 sq ft house over 12 years ago and I am still very satisfied with the quality and workmanship. We still get compliments from people on how nice the house looks and more importantly unsolicited offers to buy it. I have not had any problems related to construction, the builder or his trades. RKS pulled out all the stops to get it built on time and within Budget. RKS really knows what they are doing. A satisfied customer !

Beware of this builder. We hired RKS to build our house and within a short time following completion we have paid out over $10,000 to correct major defects in the work performed by some of his trades. His reputation amongst the gta home building industry is not positive and by such the quality of his trades pool is poor resulting in poor workmanship which in some cases the work is not even completed to code. On multiple occasions during the building process Ricky attempted to cut corners for no apparent benefit to anyone, expect to not provide the
attention to detail that is required when managing and supervising trades and building a quality product. It has been mentioned by other trades in the industry that they are surprised he is still even in business considering the lack of quality and service delivered.

After paying an enormous amount money for our renovation with RKS I found out eight years later that our attic was not properly insulated when the renovation was done. I was selling our house, and I had to get another company to insulate the attic. I called RKS to pay back the money expended, as I could not believe that I had next to know insulation in my attic, and have been paying enormous heating and air conditioning bills as a result. After trying to get Rick to assist me, and to have me paid back a total of $1500, he relied on the fact that notwithstanding the fact he was my go to person during the entire construction phase this was not his fault, as I actually contracted not with Rick for the job, but someone who was responsible who is now in Bulgaria and he cannot get my money back. I have no idea who this person is. Rick definitely failed to come to the plate and back up his work and shifted blame on someone else, notwithstanding we trusted him to watch over the contractors that he picked. Very disappointing after the size of the project and what I felt was a very personable relationship with Rick.

We decided to use RKS Building Group (Rick) after meeting with several prospective custom home builders and we were not disappointed. Rick was professional and attentive from start to finish, through the design/permit process to the completion of our dream home. Most importantly, our house was finished on-time and on budget. Job well done RKS!
