Window replacement

I decided to replace all the aluminum framed windows in our house. The condensation and failed seals that were especially noticeable in the fall/winter prompted me to do my research.

I spoke to a number of local window vendors and to be blunt, some weren't prompt with callbacks or did not seem to be interested in any follow up. Some didn't explain the install method they were using in the quote provided.

Long Life was the only company to pass on all fronts of customer service. Blaine (sales rep) and Randy and Corey (installers) were courteous and professional throughout the process. Blaine was good at explaining things and getting the ball rolling. Randy himself came out to take the detailed measurements.

In the end, we replaced 16 windows, patio door and a skylight. The windows and patio door were installed using the nail flange method which required our vinyl siding to be removed, the window installed and the siding being re-attached. Randy and Corey did a fine job in doing all of this. They were friendly and willing to answer any of my questions. They take care to clean up at the end of each day. Corey went an extra step in that he offered to re-attach our window blind brackets.

The total job took about 3 days and I am quite satisfied with the product and the installation. I just had the final walk through with Blaine and informs me that Randy noticed that one of the windows had a slight frame defect above the latch. I hadn't noticed this but Blaine will be getting Vinyltek to contact us to arrange for replacement. I apprecicate this proactive service.

You may pay a little more than using another company but the service and lifetime transferable warranty more than offsets this.

I would definitely recommend Long Life to anyone I know.

Our house was built in 1926 and the windows were mostly still original. This spring we decided that it was long overdue to change and upgrade the windows. We chose Long Life and have been very happy with the product. We wanted to ensure the new ones would mimic the old character ones. Those that knew we changed them have commented that they could hardly tell, and those that didn't know, never noticed the change. They were exactly the responses that I hoped for. Kris, Rick and the crew were excellent. The workmanship was top quality, they ensured it was done right (even if it took a couple extra minutes) and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Highly recommended.

We've used Long Life twice to replace windows on our 102-year old character home. Both times we've been very happy with the service and the installation. Kris is highly personable, reliable, prompt, and responsive. He quickly addressed any questions or concerns we had both prior and post installation. Rick, the lead installer, did an excellent job. He is a conscientious craftsman. The windows are high quality and have increased the value of our home. We would use LongLife again.

I originally had one set of top floor windows replaced by Long Life. The replacement had to be done quickly as one of the original windows had fallen in and could not be repaired. Kris and his crew responded quickly to find me a temporary solution and then proceeded with the full replacement. I was so happy with their work that I brought them back again to do the other set of top floor windows and again, loved the service and the results

Replaced 3 patio doors and 12 windows

After seeing our neighbour down the street who had Long Life replace his windows we became interested in doing the same type of renovation. We also looked at several nearby properties that had similar installations. We got a quote and decided that it was time. Very experienced crew installed all material quickly and professionally. I know we made a good decision. Have already recommended Long Life to several friends.

Windows and doors replaced

We highly recommmend Long Life Windows and Doors to anyone who is looking for quality and professional workmanship and service. We had three large windows, a garden window and two doors replaced.
Bernard and his crew listened intently and were great problem solvers when there was an adjustment that needed to be made in the installation. When we arrived home after the work was finished, we were delighted by the positive change the new windows and doors made to the overall appearance of our home! They cleaned up all of the debris and did everything to the letter of the agreement we signed. It is obvious from Kris, our lead salesman, to Bernard a true craftsman, this company is a class act! I would say that Mike Holmes would give this company TWO thumbs up for their overall workmanship and service!!!

Window Replacement

In March 2012 we had the remainder of our windows replaced. We had Long Life Windows and Doors replace our large single paned windows 6 years ago . We didn't hesitate to call Long Life Windows and Doors back for this project. Kris was very easy to talk to and took the time to explain everything to us. There was, at one point, a miscommunication/misunderstanding but he rectified it immediately to our satisfaction. The Windows arrived earlier than expected and we had the same Installation crew as we did 6 years ago. Rick and his crew installed the windows with the same care to detail and workmanship as they had before. All in all, an exceptional Window product partnered with professional, respectful and exceptional service is what Long Life Window guarantees the consumer and they do so. Thankyou

Replacement patio doors and windows

We had old, cold, hard-to-open aluminum frame patio doors and windows. When shopping around, the Long Life doors and windows looked to be very attractive and well-built. Both the sales and installation teams were very knowledgable and were enthusiastic to answer our many questions. The installation team took the necessary time to do the installation right, including re-wiring the alarm sensors that had been in the old doors and windows.
