I often shop at Rona for any of our home products. The customers services there is great, their return policies are very generous. They open early and close late, very suitable and convenient.

Early in July 2013, we visited the RONA on 3750 Midland Ave in Scarborough for the first time as we were planning to remove the existing carpeting and install laminate flooring in my son’s condominium. We found all the staff we interacted with that day to be both very helpful and informative.

On the suggestions of the personnel working in the flooring area, we spoke with the Project Guide, Ricky Chan. Ricky was able to answer most all of our questions and set up an appointment for the installer, John Zhou, to come out to take the necessary measurements. The day after the measurements were taken, Ricky called us back with an estimate of what it would cost to have the needed work done. With some help from Ricky, we made our final selections of laminate flooring and tiles and booked a convenient day for the work to be done. On July 23, 2013, John and his crew arrived and, much to our surprise completed the whole job in a single day.

Less than a month after first walking through their doors, my son has brand-new flooring throughout his condo and we couldn’t be happier.

We were very pleased with both the service and prices at Rona. We were able to put in our own hardwood with the expertise at Rona. The staff were knowledgable and eager to assist you.

Doing our floor was easy and quick with the help of RONA and their people, we could not have done it without their help. All in alll Rona greatly increased the value of our house by this renovation.

On June 4 2009, I went to the Rona at Midland/McNicole to try to return a 12 liters Driveway Sealer I bought at the store on May 17, 2009.
The reason I want to return it because I just couldn't mix it to a workable state as the instructions on the bucket suggest. The solid contents condensed to the bottom and separated from the water in less than 10 seconds after the mixture. I couldn't use it with a roller to do my driveway.
I went to the service counter at the store and the clerk checked the bucket and sealer inside and I told him I haven't used it and the reason why I couldn't use it. Then he called an associates manager to come and let me wait. When the associate manager comes, he took the bucket away and came back 10 minutes later telling me nothing wrong with the sealer. I told him again I can't mix it to do my driveway.
Then the associate manager said to me, "You have to take it back and door is right behind you." And he pushed the bucket towards me. I insisted to return it and he told the clerk at the counter in a low voice but I still could hear it," Don't do refund, don't do refund". And then he turned to me and said, "You can go home and see your dad..."
I was frustrated at that moment and went upstairs to their management office looking for the store manager. I didn't find the store manager first but a lady escorted me and she found the operations manager to the counter. In no minutes, I got the refund.
When I told the operations manager how the associate manager insulted me, the operations manager just tried to cover things up by saying that I didn't hear him well and of course the associates manager refused to admit what he had said to me.
I was not satisfied with the product I bought in the beginning, but now I am totally not satisfied with the service at Rona at Midland/McNicole and its management. My feeling was hurt badly as a customer to the store and the icon of Rona has broken in my heart.

I want full written apologies from the Assciates Manager who insulted me at the store and the operations manager for not listening to his customer.

This store hire very knowledgeable and professional people. They give helpful advice and willing to assist clients to find what they need. Some of the staff can speak our language too. They are very helpful and professional.

I was looking to replace all the gold colored door knobs in my home for silver colored handles. This store had lots of selection and priced reasonably. The store did not have enough stock which I needed to purchase on the floor and I approached a Rona employee there. He went to the back in the warehouse and immediately came back with more stock of the same handles that I needed.
The service is fast and the employee was very polite. I needed to buy more than 20 of those handles and they were very well stocked so that I didn't need to make another trip back to pick up the rest of the stock.
