A friend of our family is working for a company doing a decorative concrete. We asked him to help us with our driveway pavement. He suggested stamping using colored hardener on regular concrete instead of pouring ready- mixed colored concrete for better decretive effect. We bought the hardener locally made by Concreation. Our friend commended that it was easier to work with compared the product his company uses that was made in the States. It was beautiful when finished. However, a year later, last spring after one winter, we found some area the surface got popped up. We contacted Concreation, they said we may used salt or salt brought from the street. Our friend checked with his boss, and got a feedback that this is called scaling; the material can't stand the freeze and thaw weather condition. They had same problems with Concreation hardener in the past. This is the second year; we noted the problem get worse. Because the surface has got pattern, not flat, we can't even repair it.
