Purchase of Handscraped bali coco hardwood flooring
We purchased this flooring after seeing samples at the Edmonton Home Show. it was attractive and supposed to be much more durable than regular hardwood flooring. We have had a few issues with the company since purchase: stair nosings were special order, arrived warped and were not guaranteed by the company because we had them in our home approximately 1 month before install (they were manufactured 2 years before we received them though), more nosings had to be ordered and paid for by us as well as having a delay to our installer and an extra trip for him and a wait to have the install completed in a timely fashion; we have also had some problems with the flooring scratching quite easily and therefore, we would not recommend it even though we like its overall color and hand-scraped appearance. This product is from China, contained short pieces in the box (to pack more square feet in each box we assume) and our installer noted there seemed to be different densities of wood in each box. Our family tries to be reasonable to deal with but if Hardwood Direct won't stand behind the products it sells (we spoke to both Corey the salesperson and Coren the manager), unfortunately they will not receive a good recommendation from us.
