Kingston Grey sofa

I ordered the Kingston sofa, online on Dec 23,17,it arrived on Dec29,17.I opened the box, which was a large box to check for any damages. This sofa is easy to put in a small living room,it is easily assembled, click access.I wasn,t able to find the drill holes for the legs, are under
the armrests.I won,t say this is a high end sofa,it will add some comfort. The back cushions are only 21×16.The
Sofa is 78" in length. Is is comfortable? The seats are firm.I wouldn,t purchase this sofa if you are going to put it through alot of use or Abuse. This sofa does come
with a one year Warraranty,The brand is Lifestyle and it is a California company.

Bad delivery service

I ordered a fridge and they called to make sure measurements fit, I called them back and also discussed an earlier date delivery to which they confirmed and said yes. The day of delivery I called to see time it was coming they said delivery was cancelled!! Okay well why they never told me and my husband missed a day off work with loss of pay so someone could be home to receive fridge. When I called all they could tell me was driver said we didn’t confirm? What the heck I called and set the date also since when do we ha e to call and confirm? They are suppose to call us but no one called. The company was careless and didn’t care. Now we have to miss another day of work to receive fridge next week!!! Really disappointed in Home Depot for being so unthoughtful and not even trying to speed up delivery to at least next day .

Delivery miscommunication

It may be a good idea for Home Depot to revamp their on-line appliance purchase ordering and delivery request form. The local delivery company was unable to deliver our refrigerator because of several errors caused, in part from communicating the delivery details. They use convoluted system that requires multiple information transfers between head office in Toronto and the local delivery companies. Our unit number was not passed on to the delivery driver so he was unable to find the correct townhouse in our complex. In addition, my husband had to make multiple phone calls to the 1-800 number asking why we had not heard from the delivery company. If someone had been able to give my husband the contact information earlier, all of this misinformation could have been cleared up on the spot. Instead it will be a few days until we can reschedule the delivery.

False delivery date

I have confirmed the delivery date 10 days before the initial schedule and when I called them one day before the updated delivery date to know the delivery time, they denied the update and refused to honor it. Unprofessional act and poor customer service!

roof installation

The Home Depot not taking responsibility on installation services provided by their subcontractors. Installed roof has been leaking from the first year after installation, had been fixed and has been leaking again on the same spot next year, had been fixed and has another leakage week later, and another week later and so on up until they decide to install something had been forgotten to install on time of original installation. All this about The Home Depot in Canada. They are refusing to fix damages occurred as a result of leakage and also refuse to remove the roof and refund the customer. Very poor service for a very expensive price, never go with The Home Depot. They are ending up with saying "pre-existing damage that has occurred prior to our installation services" which is a lye, there weren't any leakage prior to installation so damages as a result of leakage cannot be without the leakage itself.

Carpet Installation Services

false advertising totally. this is subcontracted by Homedepot and if the cost of carpet is CD$2500, the subcontaracter cost is additional $2000/- so it is a waste of time falling for fitting and removal of furniture and carpet.

Purchase of a kitchen faucet and 2 toilets

Ordered on line at Home Depot Canada two toilets and one Kitchen tap. Very expensive – 2000 dollars about for the three.Next – Home Depot split my order in two – that way they would confuse the Air Canada points and keep the money for the points. So – apparently – order split in two for no reason but because it comes from two different sources - different makers - as if I am supposed to care – so – a set of kitchen taps and two identical toilets. First in a long line of annoying and toxic things – the website link to "tracking shipments" is broken - not a coincidence-this way you have to call "customer service" – perhaps you give up and they do not have to make an effort now that they have your money!!Home Depot Canada Customer Service phone numbers : 1 800 628 0525 and 1 800 466 3337 are both sprinkled in difficult to find positions on their website - confusion created clearly so one does not know which one to call for what to get answers for an order delivery follow-up!!I first time, waited for over 10 minutes to be told that I missed one of the prompts and that was not the proper department – and had to be switched while waiting again - not true – just blaming the victim for shoddy service with long waits on the phone and broken links on the website. In any case – I did have confirmations with dates of shipment from Home Depot Canada, in writing – right??!!I notice that the two toilets were supposed to have been shipped earlier than the kitchen taps. Why? I wonder – clearly they must be installed in the same work session. Shouldn’t they be consolidated as one shipment?? No – says Home Depot Canada!!!The faucet - an item of over 600 bucks - was “scheduled” to be shipped “from its supplier” next week I am now only being told – the Filipina lady from Home Depot Montreal now puts me on hold – and she gets an improved delivery – I am supposed to feel grateful now!!Yesterday I found the kitchen faucet in front of my house. There was no call, no advance warning - no nothing - just left there – over 600 dollars item – in a large box – no signature asked for – is there any wonder that lots of thefts happen – Ah, the taps were sold as a “Free Delivery”??!!Waiting for the toilets now – surprise – I have the audacity of having all items together to be done in one single day of installation work ??!!But – I have the faucet only – No news of the 2 toilets and certainly no shipments to my door – no nothing – do not hear anything - get worried once more – call Home Depot again – put on hold – bounced around Wait..wait..call today - as I said..link to delivery schedule broken on site. Two phone numbers given on site for “customer service” - deliberately to confuse - one with punching in lots of prompts - 1 for English - 1 for deliveries – etc..- finally got through the rigmarole described with prompts and wrong instructions on Home Depot phone system. ”I will call the shipping company now “said Abdel – or maybe Shalipo – because he told me that he passed me to Shalipo – they are both tough to understand – English challenge!!I, the customer do have it in writing that the toilets had been shipped??!! Amazing!!~My visa was charged in day one of the web order - despite it mentioning that they would not charge before REAL SHIPMENT. Ah, they meant virtual shipment – another reality in another dimension – of what shipment means??!!Home Depot thinks this type of sales activity is OK, is acceptable, it’s the cat's meow, there is no need for improvement, it is good enough, it's 2017 this year , all our competitors do the same, you no like..you go elsewhere!!Right??Yes – let me tell you unequivocally Home Depot Canada - there is nothing to like about the business model you espouse – your Customer Service has created a standard of service that is unacceptable by any standard of judging - yet - from the self righteousness of the numerous Home Depot people I talked to – this is it!!??About 10 minutes later, after waiting on the phone to an annoying, ear tormenting type of noise..I get switched to the “Shipping Company” WHY???I do not want to talk to the shipping company – I gave Home Depot the order and Home Depot confirm that they shipped all the items. Home Depot charged me over 100 bucks for shipping Two (2) toilets – why should I talk to Home Depot’s subcontractor??..had to jump through hoops to expedite delivery for transportation that I am paying for..now pretending they are effecting it..??“”I want to schedule your shipment “said the lady shipper from some shipper I do not know - ??I say – “You were supposed to have done it, as I have it in writing that Home Depot ALREADY did it” “No way” – says she – “I want to schedule it right now for you!!” Very stern – very efficient, she is!! Now , I realize once more that that I am on the phone with Home Depot’s choice of a shipping company for two toilets – things that were supposed to have shipped well before – a fact that I had confirmed from Home Depot IN WRITING. Also this very moment, this shipping company talks to me like it is an “arms length transaction” between them and I - clearly Home Depot Canada was doing nothing about getting the stuff to me when they (Home Depot) had already confirmed to me a date well gone by!!!“We need a signature says she” - says I to myself – “you did not need one when you dropped off the taps that were more expensive than 1 toilet”“I can have them for you between 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs” - says she – “I want something shorter than 8 hrs says I . “ They’ll call you tomorrow sometime – says she – “Maybe then they'll know approx. when they'll be in your neck of the woods?! She asks again – “Are you home tomorrow?” – “I guess I must be” says I – “It will be done any time from 0900 thru 1700 “she repeats “Any idea when they typically come? “says I – “Nah!!” says she - they will call you tomorrow!!Clearly nobody wants to call Home Depot Canada Customer Service – you get put on hold – you encounter very little and rudimentary English – people working there are clearly untrained and not able to make decisions or contribute positively to the improvement of a bad situation by themselves!!

Refrigerator

Placed the order online with the option to pick delivery date. I chose the date, Home Depot hadn't delivered on the selected day. I had to call several times to finally have my fridge delivered 8 days late. Delivery staff damaged a doorframe and my hardwood floor. Never ever will I buy anything from Home Depot...not even a nail. Inefficient, backward business with similarly incompetent delivery company.

Delivery

I made an order in-store on July 26. My delivery date was scheduled for August 4. The day before late in the afternoon, I was contacted by the delivery team and told that they would not be able to deliver the appliances tomorrow, because the order had been shipped only the day before! I placed the order on July 26 and it took them a week to organize shipping! On top of that, they were not able to give me a new date of delivery! So unprofessional of them!
Because of that I had to rearrange many things, ask a dishwasher installer come on another day, take another day off, etc.
Meanwhile, the appliances were delivered only on August 9, which is five days later than the initial delivery date. I have complained though a live chat, over the phone and was assured my case would be looked into, but it never was. I also emailed twice, but nobody ever replied. Terrible experience.

Kitchen Appliances

I'm very unhappy with Home Depot. I placed an order for 4 appliances, paid by credit card, and after the delivery was scheduled my husband took a day off work to accept delivery. About 8am on the delivery day, Home Depot cancelled the order and didn't even had a courtesy to call or email be about it. My husband found this out after calling himself to inquire about exact delivery time. I spend 1 hour on the phone with customer service (mostly on hold) trying to figure out what went wrong. The customer service rep claimed the bank did not give authorization, which is completely false. We confirmed with the bank twice that there was no problem with the payment. The customer rep refused to connect me with a manager. My husband lost a day of paid work waiting for this scheduled delivery. To add insult to the injury, the delivery guy showed up 2 hours after end of the scheduled delivery window and I had to spend 1 more hour on the phone with Home Depot figuring out this mess. We are extremely insulted by this, terrible experience!
