I had my furnace replaced by Knight last week. The furnace install went great. The installers, friendly and on time, and knowledgeable. The whole furnace process from quoting to installation was fantastic.
My only concern is in relation to the CO2 detectors installation. I was unaware these were included in the install, looking back at the quote, I see them listed. I should have declined them prior them starting. That oversight is my fault.
UPDATE on concern: Company did call me that next week, and gave me a Tim Hortons gift card to apoligze.
That said, I already have two CO2 detectors in my house. Your team installed two more, my wife was at home, and luckily stopped them before they installed a third. Both were installed on the wall, in areas that are not aesthetically pleasing. One was even installed 3ft down the hallway from my current one (mine is on the ceiling). The installer could have simply checked in with her prior to installing them. Or this could have been discussed in our morning walk-around. I could have advised where I would like them installed, or declined them.
Additionally, they were installed with two screws into the wall. This could have been done with 3M double sided tape. This would have given me the option of moving them if I choose. Unfortunately, now, if I want to move them, I will have to fill the holes, and repaint the entire wall.
I sent in my concern last week, and I have still yet to hear back from them. I certainly understand this is just a small item, but their lack of communication does concern me.
