excellent service and product knowledge

We went to Mobilia knowing that they had quality leather furniture. However, making the decision to buy a leather sofa suddenly became daunting for us until we met Reshma Nanavati who was like an encyclopedia of furniture information. She went around with us happily and tirelessly understanding our requirements and never put the burden on us to buy just because she had spent so much of time with us. We are yet processing our thoughts and will soon buy at Mobilia from Reshma. Meeting her once again (and again) will surely be refreshing. Reshma you are an ideal saleperson!!!

Bad delivery service

We've always liked Mobilia's modern furniture designs. However, the customer service unfortunately is a different story.

We recently bought a bed from them and paid for their delivery and set-up service. We were told we would receive a call the day after from dispatch to schedule a delivery date. We didn't receive a call so we decided to give them a call instead. Left a message (as the machine asked) with our contact information twice. A few days past and still no reply. After numerous tries, we eventually got through to a live agent and managed to schedule a delivery date. Hooray!

The day before the scheduled delivery date, dispatch calls and declares they have to reschedule. Having booked the service elevator and made arrangements to stay at home that day, we had to rearranged everything for the new delivery date. Inconvenient, but we're understanding people.

I was told by dispatch to expect delivery to be from 12:00-2:30pm. Around 11:45am, I received a call, but was unable to answer as I was in a conference call, not expecting the delivery to arrive until at least 12:00pm as dispatch had stated. A few minutes later, we hear loud knocking at the door and realized it was Mobilia, here to deliver our bed, 15 mins before the scheduled time.

Being early is great - what bothered us was the attitude of the delivery personnel. When we answered the door, they repeatedly asked "WHY DIDN'T YOU ANSWER MY CALL?" in a very rude tone, full of accusation.

We're sorry that you and your dispatch department seem to have a communication problem because they clearly told us to expect you from 12:00-2:30pm, not BEFORE 12. We're even more sorry that you're so incredibly upset that we didn't answer your call that you seem to forget any ounce of manner and decency.

As a paying customer, we don't expect world class, red-carpet service; what we DO expect is for our delivery to be relatively pain-free and accusation/attitude-free. We're paying for furniture delivery. NOT attitude and wrongfully placed accusations. /rant

Mobilia, you've lost any of our future business.

TL;DR: nice furniture designs, bad delivery/customer service.

Dining Table

I wish i could give this company a -10 for it's terrible services. It has been 3 weeks now going to 4 weeks since i ordered for my dining table from Mississauga store. At the time of purchase, the sales lady promised that the table will be delivered in 2 weeks(how misleading is this!) without fail. When i placed the order I thought i would have it before thanksgiving but unfortunately not. When i called they promised the table will be arriving on 8th Oct, i just called again and am told the table will be arriving on 13th Oct. So i called today 13th Oct and was told that my table will arrive at the warehouse on Nov 14th(Information that i gathered from shipping dept). The sales lady is avoiding to call me back and as soon as i give her my phone number to check the order she says that she has to call the warehouse then call me back shortly of which she never calls. I will put her name here so that you avoid dealing with her. It's very frustrating and annoying. Why can't you be honest with your clients?? 2 Months waiting for a dining table!!! is this company for real?? You asked me to send an email to info@mobilia but 3 days later i haven't heard from you and still no table yet from sept 17 to now Nov 3. The waiting continues!

excellent sales and delivery team

We just received the sofa and dining table today on July 12th. They look fantastic. Ingrid, a sales lady is very enthusiastic and the delivery team is very polite and delivered on time. Because of our telephone system's error we could not complete the telephone survey, so I put my comment here. Thanks.

Sofa set

We bought a sofa set from Markham store .It cracked after my two weeks. I called Abbrey customer care several times finally a technician called me at 8 pm giving me attitude not willing to work or solving the problem.
I called store again and met Evlina she promised to take of situation but nothing happen another week pass then I called head office and complain again nothing !!!!!!!!
I am still having problem with these people ,nobody is there to help me out.
I am very upset,mad and disappointed with their service.
I will either take the story to media or write a complain letter to consumer Canada.

Sofa

We had a great experience at the Mobilia location in Mississauga. Lara our sales consultant was so helpful. We received our delivery on time and the delivery team that arrived were very professional and respectful of our home! So far our sofa looks great and we are happy with the overall service!

Sofa

We bought white leather sectional sofa from mobilia after couple months the leather on the sofa started to crack even after we bought the treatment from Mobilia as well the sofa started to sagging in few places. We called customer service after three visits from technician they change our sofa to new one. The sofa came in different shades of white, but there was nothing that we could done. Again after few months same issues the leather on the sofa is cracking everywhere and sagging. I email to customer service after two weeks and numerous email someone contacted me. We schedule app the technician never show up and no one called. I called again schedule app the date we schedule they called me to reschedule and I said NO!!! that it is. They sand technician in after all that after 4 days again no one contacted me I called spoke with customer service and they realize that technician did not send them the report which should be done the same day. At this point we are going one month with out answer what will they do with regards to the sofa. Will I buy from there store again NOOOOO, I do not want to spend all my free time calling or emailing them.

bedroom set

never buy from them! I never wrote reviews in my life but this company was the worst customer service experience I ever had. My story is too long but in short, they made me cry on the phone, because they didn't bring some pieces of my set and told me I can only get other pieces that do not match! I paid $3000. I had to beg the lady to listen to me. Broken mirror changed 3 times. Chipped wood. Calling them 100 times. 3 time contrctor. please don't waste your money. They shoud go out of business.

Dining table

We bought a dining table at the Mobilia Markham store. After we bought the table we started reading many bad reviews and were afraid of what will happen with our table.
The table arrived on the date promised and as promised Mobilia called us with a delivery reminder a few days before.
The delivery / installation guys came on time and were very polite. When they put the table together I noticed a scratch on the pedestal (table is made of two separate parts).
The delivery guy noted this in his papers, took a picture and promised someone will call me from customer service to fix the issue.
We were sure that our problems have started just like we read in the reviews but were pleased when Aubrey from customer service called us after two days and immediately offered to either replace the entire table or just the pedestal. We decided to go with a new pedestal and a delivery date was set.
Prior to the delivery date of the replacement pedestal we noticed another issue which we missed before and called customer service again.
Aubrey gave us the choice to either replace the entire table with the same table or choose a completely different table.
We selected a different table which arrived on time and we were refunded the difference between the original table and the new one (which was cheaper).
Although we had a problem with the original product we received (which sometimes happens with furniture) the handling of issue including quick responses, dates, being on time, friendliness and overall great customer service was amazing.
Great customer experience.

horrible customerservice

I have tried to post review on Mobilia site but would not publish. They probably have it set up that way. This is the worst customer service ever. Purchased sofa in July 2014 got it nail sticking out the side got it replaced three weeks later. Guys knocked pictures off wall and my glass butterflies well they no longer exist. Called they said l should have taken everything down well thank you!!!!! Noticed scratches but decided to deal with it. Well five months later noticed sofa was a little unstable lifted it up and saw they only put one screw in each let when there should have been five. Noticed a rip in the leather in the front but near bottom , its dark brown so did not see before. Then l took a really good look saw the leather is wearing off in another area and nails sticking out between arm and inner cushion. Took pictures sent to Sonia and her solutions was if l could take the screw out to take a picture so they could try to find similar ones and come and screw legs on. About leather she passed me off to leather people who said she knows that all request must go through Mobilia. Well two weeks later l follow up she says she is busy with other customers and they are still trying to find screws. Its so long to vent but you can imagine. I went above her to Jennifer and that was worse. She sent out technicians that l had to wait five hours for on a Sunday night for them to come and do nothing except suggest that a cat ripped my leather sorry we have no animals. It was suggested that my vacuum did it sorry l have a Dyson and its round. I say l just want the sofa l paid for in new condition they say they will pix nails rip and the structure is fine although it clearly is not. They think it is okay to come in my house take the sofa apart to hammer nails in and leave me with damaged merchandise. I was told that was my choice or get my money back minus delivery and leather and they will pick up in about two weeks. Thanks for stressing me out and making this so awful. Thats okay though because l would have purchased my dining set and entertainment unit from them but thank goodness l will not make the same mistake and now l am in search of a new sofa. Thank you for making things so much harder and showing how little you think of your customers. My husband owns his own business and bends over backwards for customers because he knows without them he does not exist
