Sofa and Love seat

This company cares about only money. Bad quality and bad service. I will never ever buy from them.
Buy from somewhere else. This kind of people shouldn't be in business and I believe adventually they will loose their customer.

bed and sectional sofa

I ordered a couch and bed. Was told it was in stock and it was delivered the next week. Bed came with the wrong parts in the bed. The delivery guys took half the bed back and left the other pieces sitting in the room. Was proactive and called the customer service rep right away, instead of waiting for them to call me as I was told. Got Krista, who was very rude and unfriendly. Said had the right parts and would be in the following week and because they don not deliver in my area had to wait until then (which was another week). Left a message for the supervisor as it was their error they should fix it and not take 3 weeks to fix. I could drive to Montreal same day and get it myself. The customer service supervisor did not have the gull to do his job and call me back!! Guess he was too busy fielding all the other calls for poor service. Bottom line spent 4 days consecutively on the phone trying to call people (approx 2 hrs a day) as customer service is useless told me to talk to dispatch who told me to contact customer service and around I went for 4 days. Finally fed up called Montreal Head Office. Called 4 different people there. Within 5 mins of me hanging up Krista from customer service called back and said my bed parts would be delivered the next day. The bed parts that for a week straight she told me it was impossible as she does not have them. Hmmmmm!

Bottom Line: Do not buy here as you CANNOT get a refund at all whatsoever!! I had half a bed frame in pieces in my room and they would not refund at all. Very poor customer service and no wonder as the supervisor Richard, is useless, and won't even call you back! For the price you pay for the furniture I expect much better. They keep claiming its not their department but another department (which in fact is just another person sitting right next to customer service).

Dont buy here! You will regret no matter how nice the furniture is. You will loose more time and money than the cost of the furniture.

Sofa, Coffee Tables, Shelving Unit, Office Desk

Bought a sofa sectional, told it would be 6 weeks for the custom fabric that was chosen. The saleswoman called us twice to inform where it was in the build cycle and it even arrived earlier than expected - product was good & it was set-up right - great first experience. Then I made the mistake of pushing it by buying a coffee and side table, a shelving unit, and an office desk. Items were promised in 6 weeks. Saleswoman (from another location) never called with a progress report. After 9 weeks of waiting we called the store and have been calling on a regular basis for the last 3 weeks & I still don't have a date for delivery of goods. This is now 12 weeks later!! The last call was to inform that I wanted to cancel the order, the salesperson informed me that the Manager would get back to me. It's now another 4 days and no call from the Manager. They have a retail store with no managers working retail hours?? Please if anybody can help me, please post because we are approaching Xmas & I don't have coffee tables, etc and need to buy lamps, etc to finish my room. All in all this purchase was poor and I would put in the contract that if they can't deliver in x time then the contract is null & voided. This is a pathetic excuse for a company. This is as if they are having financial problems with their suppliers - that's why they can't offer a date, what other reasons are there? Stay away from this place and be sure to get a opt out clause with any contract you write with ANY furniture store.

Furniture purchase

I feel compelled to write a positive review for Mobilia in Markham (71 Cochrane Road). I purchased the bulk of the furniture for my condo from this location (two sofas, coffee and kitchen tables, bar stools, bed, and bedroom furniture). I probably should have done more research before closing the deal, but it wasn't until the day after I finalized the bulk of my purchase that I Googled this chain and this location. Imagine my horror when I saw all the negative reviews.

I immediately phoned the store and spoke with my salesperson (Ron Cairns - Ron gave his permission for his name to be used in this review). He was aware of the bad reputation other locations had and how it affected customer expectations of Mobilia Markham. He told me not to worry, that my delivery and setup would be handled expertly and that he would troubleshoot any problems. He takes great pride in making sure his customers are taken care of, and will personally address all issues instead of passing clients off to a call centre or to someone else. He understands the value of repeat business.

He was right. Absolutely, 100% right. He told me that after buying my furniture in the first week of September that I would receive it in the first week of October. There was no b.s., and he has played it straight with me the entire way. I received the furniture on time (I got a little paranoid and phoned him before the delivery people were due to phone me...the people I phoned at the delivery company used by both Mobilia and Thomasville sounded a bit confused to me...he chased them up and told me my furniture arrived in Montreal, on time, and that everything was going to plan). Setting up delivery was a breeze, and the guys who came in to deliver the goods did a great job building everything and cleaning up afterwards.

I am currently awaiting delivery of the bedroom furniture, which I was told at the time of purchase wouldn't get here until the end of November. I have no reason to worry that it won't happen, but I will keep you posted on how that goes. Ron and his general manager - Caesar Mak (sorry, hope I remembered the name correctly!) - have not dodged a single phone call, have not refused to make themselves available at any time, and have given a straight answer to every question I've had. I can't say enough good things about these guys, and I hate to see the bad rap they're getting because others (especially those at other locations) have screwed up.

I am happy to answer any questions anyone has. I have to thank the Homestars community for making so much information available to me, that it was time to give back. Thanks!

Bed room set

I'm writing this to let potential customer know that Mobilia is not a good place to shop for furniture or anything that they deal with. We dealt with Mobilia 11 years ago, that was the worst experience of our life. Our bed room set was delivered four months late and was missing one night table and a drawer for the dresser. Almost every piece was damaged and looked like it had been used previously.

Bed and night stands

I bought a bed and two night stands at the end of June 2010 at Mobilia, Dundas St. Mississauga. The sales person told that because the warehouse or factory(I can not remember which one) was going to be close for 2 weeks, my order would take 6 week.) I was aware of that and agreed. Now it is mid-September and still I did not get my order. I have been calling the store and passing by every few days and they just keep saying it will be coming in one week or two. At this point, the manager Ivan said it will be leaving the warehouse this coming Friday, September 17 and I should get by next week, almost the end of September, over 8 weeks. I am very disappointed and I would never shop there again. I feel like going to the store and telling each and every possible customer what is happening and advise them not to buy.

Leather sofa, sectional, bedroom set

Over the last 14 years we have purchased a number of items from Mobilia. We most recently bought a sectional that was delivered in March after ordering in September. Just as we were told since it was a custom order from overseas. So no problems there. We have always been treated with respect and had problems taken care of within a reasonable timeframe. Their design and showroom are to die for. Yes, a little pricy so shop around first. but as with many things in life, you get what you pay for. They have a beautiful Barcelona chair withots of details. It is a couple of hundred more than other places but definitely worth it for the quality! Our bedroom set was a floor model from the Woodbridge location but arrived well packaged, with no damages and on time. Just wanted to add a positive review:)

Couch, Bed and Chest

By far - the worst furniture store I have dealt with in my time here in Toronto. They make the sale and once you put a deposit - you are meaningless. We ordered a bed, couch and chest. Bed and chest arrived in 6 weeks - chest was a floor model which they said they would fix and send (and they never did any of that). Bed was damaged while assembling. Not to mention - the delivery guys were rude and actually had the gall to tell us we made them late for other deliveries (they were specifically told to arrive in the afternoon when we scheduled the delivery but showed up at the door at 9:30am and then blamed us for not being at the door).
We were told our couch would arrive in 10 weeks. In week 12 now and the store has been dodging our queries over the last two weeks - no body has a clue where the couch is. We keep getting told that their Montreal store is talking with the manufacturer and somebody will call us with a new delivery date. Nobody from the store ever calls back. We have to keep calling them. Just a badly managed store with no concept of customer service. My recommendation - spend your money else where - you may spend a few bucks more but you wont repent like me.

Furniture

Please contact John Ritchie in Montreal at 1-866-662-4542. He is the central manager. Dealing with Krista and Melissa will only make you more fustrated and angry. I too am an unhappy customer-made a big purchase only to recieve defective furniture and a defective replacement. You may also concider MarketPlace at cbc-a full inquiry into this store in about time. The customer care and quality is horrible and completely unacceptable. My sympathies to anyone who has made a purchase only to find out that the furniture is defective and occurance of non-existant customer care.

Sectional Sofas

I was searching for a new sectional sofa all over the city. They all looked the same and I couldn't find a sofa with a good material that could last more than a few years. Finally ... Mobilia! They have a huge collection of furniture that can satisfy any taste plus the quality is remarkable. The only downfall was the time I had to wait to get my sofa delivered - it took over a month (but in the end it was definitely worth it).
