DO NOT BUILD WITH PROMINENT HOMES
Prominent is truly a disgusting company. Our family put a deposit down on a lot over a year ago in the early fall as we had grown and we needed more space. We were told it would be done by summer, then delaying the process over and over again and to then just raise the price by over $200,000 at the end of it. I know the housing market has gone up over the year, but this is truly just greedy. We understood some things were out of their control with the county and were always patient and understanding, and then a year later to put the price up by over $200,000, now starting the home at over $1,000,000 when we were told 9 months before it was $780,000. Way over priced and awful customer service. Please don’t go to this company, shop around first you will be sadly disappointed. You won’t ever get straight answers and honestly they will take every penny from you in end, and keep adding $10,000 here and $10,000 there until it’s way over budget. Just awful. It’s truly a disappointment in Norfolk County that this is what we get..

Nicole and Rob, We are very sorry that this has happened to both yourselves and Prominent Homes. We are both feeling the effects of an unstable market caused by Covid shortages.
Even though we share the same disappointment, we also feel that your harsh comments are unfair to say. You made your deposit and signed an Agreement a year ago fully understanding that your price was not set in stone and subject to change. We had an understanding that the development was not registered and had to wait for Norfolk County to approve the development before we could offer firm pricing. Had we known that Covid would create a massive housing shortage and the construction prices would surge, we would never have given the rough estimate we did.
We offer all our customers fair market pricing and expect our customers to research not only our prices, but our reputation as an honest and high quality home builder.
