I've used Action Movers twice. The first time (circa 2011) I was very impressed. The movers were attentive, friendly, and time conscious. Thus, when I had to move again a week ago, I knew who to call.
Unfortunately, last week's move did not go very well. The problems began before moving day. They have a box service which I really appreciated using before but I found out that they didn't have a Vancouver location anymore by visiting where the location used to be. This is despite the fact that googlemaps and their website both state that the Vancouver location still exists.
My girlfriend and I were moving in together, so there were two pickups and one drop-off location on moving day. We were supposed to start at 9 AM and we started at 10:20 AM because one of the two movers slept in because he hadn't taken a day off in 11 days straight. The movers were friendly enough, but they were pretty slow. They got my girlfriend's address wrong, adding another half hour or so to the total time, even though I repeatedly told them where she lived. A side table fell off the truck and broke beyond repair. Finally, we were charged an hour driving fee ($99) because they were coming from Burnaby. Thus, be forewarned - if you live in Vancouver, you'll be charged an hour extra for them to just drive to you.
Anyway, I do want to emphasize that the first time that I used Action movers it was basically a perfect move. However, with the problems with the second move they have been inconsistent.

Our Vancouver Location is our administration office, and does not carry moving supplies. As we have grown, we have needed a larger facility. Seeing as you used our service in 2011, you should be aware that you were charged travel time then too. We provide service throughout the lower mainland, and no matter where we are - it is standard.
