Dont be fooled by the other reviews as they are most likely written by the abbotsford movers sales team. I called this company among other movers to get a fair and realistic price for my move as I have heard of horror stories regarding movers. After talking with the vice president ron I felt assured after giving him the number of rooms in my house and the approximate size of the home and its contents that the quote of 550 dollars and 4 hours with 3 men was a fair quote and honest quote. He also assured me that his company has the necessary liability and damage insurance which many small time movers don't carry. His men arrived as scheduled and looked around the home. The pace of the movers was slow but I was comforted by Rons assurances of his companys capabilities that i never thought to question how much work was being done and how fast. After about 2 hours they had managed to partially load the truck with 3 beds, some side tables, a few miscellaneous items the matresses and nothing more notable to mention, after the half hour drive to my new home they unloaded the items and notified me that they often assemnle the beds and I niaevely said yes please as I felt it was another example of the great service abbotsford proves. After completing the assembly they advised me that there scheduled time has been used up and that they need the 550 cheque and that they would return the following day to complete the move. The following day came and the movers called to say that an additional 1000 to 1500 would be required to complete the move. Appsolutely shocked as I did not have this in my budget I phoned the V.P Ron for some help however being the weekend Ron was not answering his cellphone even after leaving a message. I did speak with him the following day at which time he appologized and said i could either pay him another 500 dollars for 4 more hours or try and work out a cash deal with the movers themselves. WAIT, what reputable company sends away customers? I thought these men worked for abbotsford movers but obviously not, they were simply a subcontractor that abbotsford uses for there moves. The company assured there clients with soothing sales tactics only to grab some of your hard earned money and doesnt care if they leave you stranded. I never write reviews but this experience makes me not want to see abbotsford movers get ahead at the cost of hard working people such as myself.

the guys at abbotsford were fast and efficient for my move also friendly. i recommend it for anyone trying to complete their move with in a few hours they were on time and polite

After hearing so many horror stories from friends (and after hiring one company that didn't even show up the day of our move), it was a relief to have Abbotsford moving handle our move overseas. They are affiliated with United Van Lines so can handle international moves, but operated as a small business so you get the friendly customer-is-king service. The quoted price was the price I paid, and was extremely reasonable. We had the good sense to have their movers pack our things and they arrived after travelling thousands of miles in perfect condition. Highly recommended.
