Very Disappointed

Now that we put on our A/C for the first time this year, we're reminded of how disappointed we were with the installation of our unit. We'll let the photos do the talking which show the aftermath.
We're unsure why the technicians did not utilize the conduit provided by our builder to route electrical wires to our electrical box.

Approximate cost of services:
$2,500.00

Company Response

Good day,

The management seems to be in full knowledge of your installation and they would like to remind you of a few discussion points as well as the reimbursement that you were provided to close the matter to your expressed satisfaction at the time, last year. We would also like to request of you to let us know why is it that while we were in thorough and full discussion and thorough visit of the matter in the previous year, there was never any discussion of the aforementioned conduit brought forward by you. After a year that the matter is closed following a thorough investigation of the issue by involved parties resulting in closing of the matter with you being reimbursed only as a sign of good faith, it would seem rather questionable to bring up the matter in a review post to bring forward the discussion about a conduit that you have never made any mention of during any of the past discussions, until this review, a year after. Rest assured, if the conduit that you are now unfortunately suddenly referring to, could have been made use of for the A/C wiring, it would have 100% been to the benefit of the installing technicians, rather than an extraneous labour in roughing in material through a completely and fully finished basement and a fully framed-in panel, through joists, studs, frames and dry wall with minimal possible damage. As a reminder, previous to the installation we made a request for you to hire an electrician to perform the roughing in of a wire that should have already been roughed in by the builder contractor. Unfortunately you refused.
Moreover, the conduit that you are showing in the pictures, does not appear to be in the vicinity of the A/C area outside and not only our technician has faced extensive labour due to the extreme difficulty of the installation during a heatwave in a fully finished area, but again we have reimbursed you as a sign of good faith and you had expressed satisfaction with the reimbursement. We would also like to remind you that there is an electrical permit for this installation. We are sorry that you are still unhappy but given the circumstances surrounding this case, we strongly believe that we have done what we could beyond our means as an HVAC company and beyond reasonable means surrounding the case, in order to make you happy. Had we thought or had we believed that we can fix the issue to your better satisfaction instead of reimbursing you, that's the route we would have taken at the time.

Sincerely,

Sara
