Dealing with Cherry roofing was the least complicated paet of our build.

Cherry Roofing is a professional, customer oriented, honest company, with tons of integrity, and they should be top on your list of roofers of choice. They were originally referred to me by a friend who used them to replace the shingles on her home. She used them for a second time to do a repair on the roof of her mother's home. She was extremely satisfied with Cherry Roofing's workmanship, and her recommendation came without hesitation. When as I saw the quality of their workmanship, I was also impressed!

My first contact with Cherry Roofing was the spring of 2016. My neighbour and I live in each half of a semi detached home and we knew the days for our roof were numbered. From the first point of contact, I found Rob from Cherry Roofing to be professional, responsive, and extremely easy to deal with. Within a couple of days of my initial contact, he arrived to assess and measure both roofs. Shortly thereafter, we received a detailed, written quote for the job. Due to the unexpected cost, we decided to delay the project for another year.

Fast forward to spring 2017 and we knew the issues with our roofs needed to be addressed. I contacted Cherry Roofing again, and my neighbour sourced out another roofer for a second quote. Cherry Roofing ended up honouring the price on their quote of the previous year however, the other roofer's quote still came in at a lower price for what appeared to be the same job. (My neighbour had previously used this roofer for a small job and had full confidence in his work). I saw red flags because in my experience, you get what you pay for. In addition, my initial contact with the other roofer was not a good one and I found him to be rude and disrespectful. I urged my neighbour to reconsider using Cherry Roofing however, he did not see the need to pay the additional cost and against my better judgement, I deferred to him. This is a decision I have come to greatly regret, and is also a hard lesson learned......always listen to your gut!!!! To avoid boring you with all the ugly details, I will try to be brief. We have had nothing but problems since hiring the other roofer, including being told in the middle of the job, that the dormers were not included in the price. Suddenly the job was no longer cheaper. At this point we put a stop to the work in order to determine what options we might have. I immediately contacted Rob from Cherry Roofing to explore the possibility of taking over the job. He took the time to consult with us and advise as to what could potentially happen. His office manager, Jennifer, provided information and website links for the Consumer Protection Act. He also came to inspect our half finished roof. He put our minds at ease and indicated the workmanship so far was very good. He was also willing to take over the project if it was financially feasible. Unfortunately, this was not the case and the saga with our roof continues to this day.

The only positive outcome of this whole situation is that Cherry Roofing have proved themselves to be an outstanding company who have shown time and time again, that they know the true meaning of customer service. The amount of time they have spent providing advice and information has been invaluable to me and definitely speaks of their commitment to their clients. While they did not actually end up replacing my roof, Cherry Roofing is top notch in my books and I will not hesitate in recommending them to family and friends for all their roofing needs.

Our townhouse contained a flat balcony deck on the top floor. This was leaking, and we hired Cherry Roofing to fix it. Upon removing the membrane, damage on the wood floor was revealed. They patched up the damaged areas with metal, and replaced the membrane. After the first rainfall there was leaking. Upon coming to look at the roof, an explanation that horizontal rain was the cause. After a few more rains, we still experienced leaks. It was difficult to get the owner/estimator to come and take a look again because as it was explained to us, they could not coordinate a time to get contractor to come. Frustrated after repeated unanswered messages, and continuing leaks from rains, and from fear of further water damage, we decided to pay someone else to fix it. We hired another roofing company who completely replaced the wood floor, fixed the slope (which Cherry Roofing said could not be done), fixed the soffit and installed duradeck, all for around the same price we paid Cherry Roofing. Our flat roof never leaked again.

I don't believe you can do anything at this point. We have already moved from that townhouse.

We have had to get ALOT of work done on our new(old) house. Cherry Roofing was the only roofer that came recommended and showed up for the appointment. Garth was very helpful in offering us the options we asked for. He worked around our crazy schedule and got the guys in before the weather turned. They cleaned up and Garth came after the job was done to make sure we were happy with the job. He personally went up on the ladder to make sure the job was complete. He then sent us a booklet and warranty on all the items we purchased.

Garth was easy to work with, he provided good recommendations, his team started work on time, cleaned up well, and his pricing was competitive/fair.
I received his name from a recommendation and I recommend Cherry roofing to others.

While doing the job, a gash occured on the eaveatrough and the new aluminum framing by the garage door. Garth Cherry agreed to repair the garage door gash. He called a few days later to accuse us of damaging the frame. I was insulted! Asked him why he did not say that to our face and befoe we paid him! Told him he was not reputable, and would not recommend him.

Replacing roof damaged by hail. Did quality work, and full team had whole roof done in one day - last guys took 2.5 days. And the place was left pretty clean - which meant did not have to spend a day picking up nails on the ground!
