Markham 2000 Decorating Centre

Aliscia (store owner) was such a pleasure to work with. I wasn't happy with the initial paint colour I had chosen, and rather than having me waste and re-buy additional paint, Aliscia kindly worked her magic and helped me "fix" the paint colour to my liking. She was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend doing business from her. She's incredible to work with.

We came to Markham 2000 Decorating Centre to choose paint for our newly renovated dining room. We were also looking to buy drapery. We came in with the exact measurements for our dining room window. We also took photos of the window and showed them to Alisicia. We chose the fabric and type of curtain with Alisicia, and trusted that she would order the right amount of material for the window size we provided her. We also ordered the hardware from this store. When charged for the curtains, I was shocked at the price, but trusted that I was going to receive fine curtains for my new dining room. To our disappointment, the curtains arrived, and when they tried to install them in the dining room, they were far too wide; as a solution, we had to order additional hardware to mount the curtains; but there was so much excess fabric ordered for such a small window. Her solution? "We will cut it for you and make you cushions or pillows for your room." Seriously? I had just paid $1000 for curtains that she had ordered. I would not recommend this store for home decorating. I would have liked Alisicia to reduce the price because she charged me for extra material which our window did not require. I would have also liked Markham 2000 to correct the mistake that they made. We were somewhat satisfied with the paint color; however, given the huge mistake they made on our curtains, and their inflexibility in adjusting the price to make it right, I would caution you from purchasing anything from this store. Really disappointed .....

I bought paint in this store. The service was good as the colour that I wanted required custom mixing. The staff helped explain the process to me and the product was ready within 15 minutes.

We have used them multiple times for blinds, paint consultation (previous geniuses painted latex over oil without priming...), and various paint colour matching. Not only was the service fantastic, they always take their time to make sure all questions are answered. When choosing paint, they always test for matching before allowing you to walk out the door. Highly recommended (from a picky couple).

We purchased a older house and all the paint on the walls, trims, and doors were in oil. I had no experience with paint at all. At this paint store, the lady we very patient. She took her time out to educate me and gave me advice on my huge project. I had to re-paint the whole house. She taught me about using primers. How to test paint...if it's oil or water based. How much paint is need for how much space. She even gave me same great advice on colour selections and what brand to use. Now that I am done with my project, I think back and realized I could of never done it without the great service Markham 2000 has provide me. They thaught me everything I know.
