Kitchen Renovation

I had a great experience with Billa Appliances. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I purchased all my appliances from them - fridge, oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and range hood.

You won't be able to find better prices anywhere else. Their prices were so competitive I later bought my washer and dryer, as well as, my TV with them too! If you find a better price, they will work with you to either beat or match it.

I went into their store with several models in mind for each appliance. They patiently quoted me each appliance and helped me determine which appliance to get based on my needs.

Full suite of kitchen appliances plus laundry

Buyer beware! We purchased a full suite of LG appliances from the St Clair location. The salesman confirmed all appliances, except laundry were in stock before we purchased, and gave us a delivery date of August 13th. We purchased everything on July 19th and were told that laundry would arrive from manufacture before delivery date. We called a week prior to confirm all items were in stock, found out the fridge was no longer available and laundry pair yet to arrive. Every person I spoke to gave me the same run around, "wait a few more days" or "I will call you back", and they never did. We were skeptical of all the ETA dates provided and it seemed they had no idea when the outstanding items would arrive. Of course, any request for a refund resulted in us having to pay 20% restocking fee on items that they did not even have! We did some research and discovered that under the Consumer Protection Act, a business has 30 days to deliver product or a full refund without penalty is warranted. (https://www.ontario.ca/page/your-rights-under-consumer-protection-act). We gave them until Sept 13th to deliver and as we expected, no fridge or laundry pair were available. Spoke to Ramesh at Markham location, laid down our rights, and refund was issued immediately. Worse purchase ordeal we have ever faced! I admit prices are lower here compared to other retailers, but save yourself the headache/stress/time, and spend the extra money with a retailer that can deliver as promised. We ended up happy customers at CAS (I plan to write a review for them next)

On a separate note, during my shopping trips elsewhere after they failed to deliver, most retailers we visited would not price match Billa because quote on quote "they sell new and used appliances, however majority are used or refurbished, and don't arrive in appropriate boxes, like new ones". I can't confirm or deny this tidbit of detail, but just another warning for any potential customers here

Jenn Air Oven and Microwave

The purpose of this review is to provide feedback on the Jenn Air microwave and oven purchased from Billa Appliances.

We purchased an Jenn-Air oven and microwave (super oven) from this store in November 2015, and were assured that they would be installed by December. Part of the motivation to purchase the product was based on the need to have them over the holidays. Billa Appliances failed to honour their commitment and the oven was not delivered until the middle of January.

Since then, the oven and microwave unit has broken down 3 times in the last month. The first time it broke, a repairman came and serviced it, and 1 week later it broke again. We have been calling the Jenn Air customer service line daily, and each day we have been told that a technician is coming, and no one shows up. Not only does no one show up, but no one calls with any update and no one answers our calls when we follow up. This atrocious experience has ruined our opinion of Jenn Air, and we regret our decision to purchase this product.

We also regret purchasing the microwave and oven Billa Appliances. At first, we spoke highly of the company, and even recommended it to a dear friend who was re-doing her kitchen. She purchased the exact same unit as us (oven and microwave), and hers broken down within weeks, and needed to be entirely replaced. How is it possible for BRAND NEW high quality product to break down not once, but in two separate instances?

While this atrocious experience is a direct result of the inadequate level of customer service provided by Jenn-Air, the pattern of poor quality appliances sold by Billa Appliances needs to be addressed as well.

I highly recommend taking action to prevent this situation from occurring again. My family and I will be sharing our terrible experience with Bill Appliances and Jenn Air through social media and word of mouth, and as you know, in this competitive industry, differentiating yourself from competitors is vital for survival. Your continued failure to neglect your customers and sale of subpar products that incorrectly boast "high quality" is not acceptable, and I hope that you take action to fix this immediately, and not just with my family, but with all of your unsatisfied customers.

BOUGHT 3 APPLIANCES FROM BILLA, 2 HAVE ISSUES

Three months ago I purchased a washer, dryer, and upright freezer. I had issues with the dryer within the first month, last week the freezer full of food broke down. As far as we know it heated up inside and all the food is now bad. They tell me it is our loss. When I called BJ at Billas, he just gave me service call numbers for me to call and chase myself! Very poor customer service. I am even beginning to wonder if the products are refurbished appliances. How could 2 out of 3 have issues in such a short time. All they do is take your money and don't stand behind their customer.

Horrible customer service

I purchased a fridge and stove a week ago - it was supposed to be delivered a few days after purchase - turned out that it was still not in stock, and I was guaranteed today - and that did not happen either. The company really did not care that they have inconvenienced a pregnant woman with no stove or fridge now for a week!

Jennair Appliances-Freeze, Gas Range and Dishwasher

Excellent experience at Billa, good help and advise in making choice of appliances.
PJ and Owner Ramesh are very caring people.
As our renovation was delayed they agreed to hold on to delivery.
Delivery person Bittu was equally nice person.

Samsung washer/dryer

I had a very positive experience purchasing a washer/dryer at Billa appliances. Having limited knowledge about appliances, the staff did an excellent job at educating me on the different features and functionalities. I was also able to make an informed decision without worrying about a sales person breathing down my neck. From my first interaction with the sales staff to delivery Billa appliances ensured that nothing went wrong and provided excellent customer service which is really the distinguishing factor in this industry. I would defently recommend Billa appliances to my friends and family.

Kitchen

I have been purchasing from billa appliances for over 20 years. I always get the best price whether I shop around or go directly to billa appliances. Staff at billa appliances are very friendly and helpful. They have more knowledge than most places because they are focused on what they sell. Never had an issue. Best in the business!

Appliances for a new hourse

I purchased set of 5 appliances from Billa Appliances, 3 months before the closing date for my house. 6 weeks before the closing date, I changed my fridge selection from Electrolux to Samsung.

Day before the closing, I received phone call from Billa Appliances informing me that my fridge is out of stock and I won't be getting it tomorrow. I asked when am I going to get it and was told that they need to call Samsung on Monday(conversation was on Friday). Keep in mind that this is for the fridge, which was ordered 6 weeks ago.

Its been 2 weeks since the closing date and still no sign of the fridge. I called Billa Appliances few times and was told to stop calling, they will call me ...

It looks like they gets shipments every few weeks, perhaps to save freight costs and if your order didn't make it to the last shipment you will have to wait until next batch, which might be weeks away. In the mean time, you will live without fridge or stove ...

Now, I appreciate that every company has its own ways to cut costs and thats probably how they can afford to keep prices so low. However, I really don't like that they didn't inform me about "out of stock" situation well in advance, so that I can make an informed decision. This is really dishonest.

Do yourself a favor and buy appliances some there else.

Great Prices!

I received a flyer in the mail and I decided to check out this store that I've never heard of. The store looks like a factory from the outside but inside there were so many appliances and brands to choose from. A salesperson named Sandeep gave us an amazing deal for our Samsung appliances which made me regret spending so much at futureshop for my previous appliance purchases. Would definitely recommend this place!
