Construction of a large dolly with castors
I asked Mike to build a platform for a heavy collectible object with historical significance that was stored in our garage. It could not be moved, due to the fact that it had no platform to sit on and wheels. This was a custom job, requiring one day's work and the purchase of four large castors . He already had the wood to make the platform from.
He charged me the huge price of $3500. to build a platform with castors upon which to mount this object which weighed 800 pounds. Af5er he was finished, I paid him cash. He did not send a receipt and though the workmanship was very bad, I was glad that the heavy relic could finally be moved. A few weeks later, I noticed that the flashing of our garage had been badly damaged by the machine he used to lift the object onto the platform, and we asked him to replace it. He said he would, but ignored our future calls and never did. We followed up several times, but he got away with it and did not repair the damage he did for a job that should not even have cost more than $500. DO NOT HIRE HIM. THIS MAN DID A TERRIBLE JOB AND RUINED OUR GARAGE FLASHING.
