Capital Asphalt and Interlock Ltd.

Capital Asphalt did an excellent job paving our driveway. In one day they removed the old asphalt, packed gravel for the base, and repaved with fresh asphalt. They were careful with the landscaping and blended the asphalt work with recent concrete work very nicely. Everyone involved was professional, from the office staff to the work crew. The owners were honest and direct about costs right from the start. It was also great to see them onsite working hard and ensuring the job was done well. Excellent service. Excellent result. On a side note: our neighbour’s driveway was done by Capital twelve years ago and it still looks great.

Capital did my driveway last year. This included a complete base removal as the material underneath was not done properly years ago by the previous homeowner.

Thry also did my brick walkway at the same time, and a new concrete garage floor with one of their partner contractors.

The whole project was excellent! I wanted to wait a year before posting a review as the winter frost heave (especially with all the clay here in Arnprior) was something I was worried about. It still looks great!

What really impressed me is how professional these guys are. They explained everything up front, were extremely efficient and polite and were amazingly organized and quick. Little details like laying out plywood to lay their rakes & shovels on to protect my lawn, and completely cleaning up every little thing.

This is a local family business, however they have all the right stuff to do amazing work.

When I researched prices, they weren't the most expensive and weren't the cheapest. It was a fair price for what's involved in a project like this.

I also asked around and heard good things from a few local folks and their positive reviews sealed the deal for me.

I would definitely recommend their work, just ask them to show you a few driveways they've done and you'll agree.

I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of work we received from Capital Asphalt! Our driveway was in serious need of a facelift, as was the interlocking walkway we'd had done several years ago. Kendall and his friendly and courteous crew arrived on time, and got to work immediately. Their attention to detail and enthusiastic team spirit was impressive. The results of their efforts is a fabulous 'new' driveway, and improved landscaping, which certainly enhances our home's curb appeal! Value for dollars spent is excellent! I highly recommend the services of Capital Asphalt.

We used Capital Asphalt to spread new asphalt over our 16-year-old house's driveway about 12 years ago. (Our driveway sank quite a bit since building.) At that time, they also did the driveway of our two neighbor's houses, all done by hand without heavy machine. We were so happy that our driveway was leveled back to the garage floor.

Today, we used Capital Asphalt again to fix our driveway. This time, they ripped out the old asphalt from our driveway, put new gravel, used roller to compact the gravel and paved with new asphalt, all done by heavy equipment. This time, they did 4 houses on our street including ours. It all started from our neighbor's house first, and then others followed suit.

I want to say that they did an excellent job! They are a professional team full of experience. They know what they are doing. They show quality workmanship. A family business does mean something!

The entire team at Capital Asphalt were focused on doing a great job and making me a more than satisfied customer. They were on time, on budget, conscientious, courteous, comprehensive and very communicative. I was kept apprised of their work and progress every step of the way. They explained all aspects of their paving job thoroughly and took the care to make sure that their work would be sure to last. Their entire team was polite and they made sure that they cleaned thoroughly before leaving. They did an outstanding job!

Was hit with hidden costs totaling more than 30% the original estimate. The hidden costs were for things like geo fabric which were ridiculously overpriced.

The final product was okay but the cheap/dirty sales tactics were not appreciated. If you're looking to go with this company, my recommendation would be to make sure _everything_ is detailed in the quote, including rebasing, geo fabric etc.

Also, if you're looking to get in touch with this company you'll have to do it early in the season (e.g. early May) or you'll never be able to reach them.
