Working with Klondike has been a great experience for us. It only when the night is darkest that the brightest stars shine. It is easy for anyone to do well when things are going according to plan. But when unforeseen problems arise, that is when we are really put to the test. Klondike has always been a reputable company with helpful accommodating staff, but when a recent renovation project, facing a firm deadline, developed a severe problem due to a flooring supplier missing a critical delivery date, the Klondike project management team really shone. We had a tight schedule to finish all the work in our renovations because guests were coming the day after the work was to be done. The supplier’s delay threatened to leave our house in a mess when the guests arrived. Fortunately, Klondike arranged a temporary solution that allowed us to carry on in a normal manner, until the supplier could complete their work. This agility and innovation really saved the day for us and was greatly appreciated. The true stars were shining that night.

Overall, Jacqueline, we found the staff Klondike sent to work at our place were great: thoughtful, industrious, willing to do whatever we asked and ready to take on new directions when the unexpected occurred, like the water leak problem Dan discovered when he was working in the yoga room closet. As I mentioned earlier, Louie is a gem, Leif and Dan very helpful. Avery’s painting is very professional, and while he wasn’t always on site when he said he’d be here, his work is very good and he’d would always work late to make sure he got everything done that day.

We feel our companies worked very well together, especially as it related to architectural plans, permitting and the quality of work upon completion. We appreciate your company’s extensive assistance with the Vancouver Building Department, acquiring a competent Structural Engineer and seeing that the permitting was followed through.

I recently hired Klondike to do a complicated renovation at my business. After checking out many general contractors, I chose KC because they had a well-defined process and were very diligent in their follow up/communications. I am really glad I did as they did an amazing job! They stuck to their price even though I know it cost them more than they budgeted & completed my projects within 2 days of their initial estimate. I’ll be using Klondike again!

Klondike contracting not only met, but exceeded, our expectations for our recent bathroom renovation. Their sub-trades were always on time and performed their work to a high standard—furthermore they were a pleasure to have around, friendly and professional. The icing on the cake was James Fisher our project manager, his attention to detail matched ours. He was always available, and he dealt with any problems quickly and effectively. We were so delighted with the process, and the end product, that we decided to have Klondike coordinate the painting of the exterior of our house. We are almost looking forward to it.

The final price on our deck was 2.5 times the original quote. They put the railing on unpainted wood and said it was our fault. In the end we even were forced to pay extra to have the rails removed the wood painted and then the rails replaced.. Once they signed on to the project they said they had to build a wall to secure the rails.
We found out after this was untrue, cost extra and doesn't look great.
We did find the people they hired very good in general, they were on time, and professional.
After this review was printed theowner called and tried to get me to remove the review, then he had three old postive reviews all of a sudden placed, and finally he tried to make HOMEStars remove my review by denying that I had ever been a customer. He has not been receptive to any comments we have made, and has repeatedly tried to blame us for all problems. I am amazed at the amount of dissembling and subterfuge Klondike has resorted to rather then ever at any point in time, apologizing, or taking any ownership in any of the issues we have experienced.
I would continue to say BUYER BEWARE
